Karina Dresses – The All Work, All Play Collection

Morning friends!

Today I am featuring a red dress from the Karina Dresses Collection “All Work, All Play Collection.” There were several prints that caught my eye, but you know Iove color, and who doesn’t love a little red dress? I loved this red print with black and white floral print.  I love this phrase instead of the All Work and No Play phrase that I just can’t relate to.  Let’s face is All work and No play makes Jess a very dull girl! It’s always good to have balance in life.

The Weekend

My hubby said to me over the weekend, “Be careful what you wish for.” Well, the weather was actually crisp and cold when I woke up this morning. Jess is a happy camper! . We went to see “First Man” after just seeing ‘A Star is Born” last weekend.  Great films! The preview of the movie,” Vice” with an unrecognizable Christian Bale playing Dick Cheney, looks interesting, but you wouldn’t know it was him! Boy, I had such a crush on Christian Bale, especially the “American Psycho” Bale. You know what I mean, ladies!

Karina Print – Happy Hour

Here in NC, there is no such thing as “Happy Hour.” It is against the law. However, the way around that, is that restaurants and bars just have all day drink Specials. And that works. Hubby and I enjoy our regular haunts, “Corkscrew” and “The Cottage” as we are often greeted like Norm was in Cheers. “Jess, Roy”! These places make us feel like family and are laid back and comfortable.

Speaking of laid back and comfortable, Karina Dresses are just that. There is no ironing involved! They are Made in the USA, and you know I am a big fan. Here are just a few of their Fall patterns in these posts: Autumn in New York.  and Karina Dress in Taos Teal.

Karina dresses has so many different cuts of dresses, they are great for everybody. I am also a fan of this print called Coffee Break!

Also, what I love about Karina dresses is that they are consistent in size. I wear an XS ( 0-4) in all of their dresses, no matter the style. That is some easy shopping!

Pattern Mixing

Today, with my look, I decided to do some pattern mixing for the “play” – or evening out look. A bit more adventurous, I mixed my snow leopard print with grey, white and black, with the red, white and black of the printed dress. I love fishnet stockings and socks,( I think you might have noticed! ) and wore them with my MANGO pointed black booties. I added some vintage touches with my dragonfly pin and red necklace.

These dresses would be perfect for work. If only I had them when I taught, they would have been the best thing to wear to the classroom. Stylish, no ironing, and one and done look. For work, I wore the dress, as is, and a pair of red croc textured strappy block heels from ZARA. I could have easily have worn this look as a music teacher. For added layers, I would add a blazer or cardigan. I have coming a few long cardigans as well that would look lovely with this dress.

What? No Happy Hour in NC? Oh man, that’s my favorite hour of the day! I love how you styled this dress with the booties, great way to show it in a more fun, playful way. I love those fishnet socks!
I still haven’t seen A Star is Born! Maybe next weekend, who knows!
    You look gorgeous Jess!
