03 Jun Kelly Green is Having a Moment- Clara Sunwoo
Kelly Green is one popular color this year. And Clara Sunwoo’s got it!
Sorry readers, but I have been sick for about 10 days and was able to post here on the blog last week. It continues and I have been done taking my antibiotics since yesterday. I think it takes some time for my gut to get back to normal with that. I had to go to the ER, and I have/d a viral infection, as well as gastritis, so I have been resting, drinking lots of fluids etc. I still don’t feel like myself, but hoping all will improve for our Isle of Palms getaway in June!

This Beautiful Outfit
This beautiful flora topl in cream and green has a side tie and drapes wonderfully. I am such a fan of various greens, but this kelly green is quite popular these days. This top does, however, come in 8 other color/prints. Want a tank with the print instead of the 3/4 length sleeves? Here is this top.
You can wear it:
- With some cream pants as well. The palazzo pants I have worn before ( here) on the blog, would look wonderful with this as well. Just think, for traveling, you could have this as 2 outfits, with the cream pants, and mix and match from there.
- Wear a complimentary color. This green reminds you of flower stems, plants, and just think of the colors that are brought in to your garden as flowers. My favorite combination with this green would be a hot pink. The contrast is beautiful.
- Jeans or jean shorts work too! Those of you that continue to wear jeans, maybe a lighter pair, or white, can continue to add this to you top collection as well. The fabric is very light and airy as cool as cotton or linen.
The green tulip hem split pants are such a favorite. I just love them, and with a heel they hit at a great place. If you are shorter, they can then be a full-length pant with the split hem, which looks fabulous as well. I have these pants in black too! The pair has pockets as well, and just make for great staples and getaway pieces!
I lost my strap to my Zara wicker bag here, so just bought a vegan one on Amazon. Is there nothing you can’t buy there? I love the rattan or wicker style for summer. My Zara kitten heels are a fun addition, and the pointed toe keeps the leg line long.
“Kelly green is a color of renewal, nature, and energy, associated with growth and the environment. It can also be symbolic of money, ambition, and greed. (I’d say the former applies to me)
Kelly green adds a bright, dramatic punch and should be used in controlled doses. It can be paired with other shades of green and with toned-down adjacent hues in the color wheel, such as yellows and oranges or blues and violets.” canva website
I love that. refresh and renew. There are some years like I feel like I need that. Or maybe weeks! I do find nature a way to refresh one’s mentality or perspective. Going out on the lake where we live and doing some paddle boarding or taking a walk in the woods has always left me feeling more in touch with nature and what’s important in the world. This is where I tend to “not sweat the small stuff” and enjoy my surroundings.

Posted at 22:25h, 03 JuneYou look lovely in this shade of green! I always look at that top and wonder how it would work for me. Unfortunately, I’m so short waisted, I think the wide band to tie it would hit at a really bad place. Those pants are so much fun! I really love how you styled the outfit with your wicker purse and cute shoes.
I do hope you’re well on the way to feeling better soon.
