Leopard, Lace, and Leather

IMG_5212

Hello Ladies

These are a few of my favorite things. I am wearing faux-leather, but a leather look, nonetheless. The chill is in the air now in Charlotte, but we are still getting temps in the mid 70s, rather nice. So this lightweight skirt was perfect for the day. The 3 elements in fashion, are looks I always loved. Lace, so ladylike, leather ( sleek with some edge), and leopard, classic and in the fashion world a popular neutral.

It was actually a lovely day out, the sun was shining and it was in the mid 70s, so we took the pups out, and we went to lunch at a place called Bacchus. They have Tapas, many wines to choose from, and some savory dishes. I couldn’t resist the sweet potato gnocchi, and a glass of French Pinot Nior! Delish!! Pups were happy to be in a new environment, to see new people, and smell new smells. I always come armed with baby carrots, as our vet told us they were great for treats, and the pups love them. They were strutting around a bit, showing off their new haircuts, and the attention came their way!

I decided to wear something from my fall wardrobe, but still because it was warm, something light. This skirt from Zara, did the trick. It has the look of leather, but is actually faux-leather. I love the midi style and pleats. It is so light and comfortable. I was in the mood for leopard, so I paired it with this lace and leopard top from Ann Taylor. I love the detail on the top, that the lace is elegant and dresses up the look . Last, I am wearing kitten heels, as I debated between those or boots, but the weather decided for me. You all know I love jewelry, so when I saw these gold and copper shimmery dangling earrings, I knew they would get much use in my wardrobe.

Thank you ladies as well for your feedback on liking my hair pulled back. I love the ease of it, as I there are times I want a different style. Next step, chignon!

Hope everyone is enjoying their week!

Jess xo

Hello Jess! I found your blog through another amazing blogger. Love the black skirt and the animal skirt top. As you said, animal print is one of this season’s neutral and I love it! You look beautiful with you hair up as well as with your hair down. I am glad you got to enjoy a nice lunch with a good glass of wine and that is so cool you were able to take your pups (I have four) with you. The earrings are super cute BTW. XOXO, Jeannette

Love this look on you Jess…so edgy 🙂 I love mixing lace with leather but it has to be done right so it doesn’t look cheap and you have done it perfectly. The leopard is a great addition. I love that skirt from Zara and you always have the best earrings girl. Looking fab!

Wow! I’m in love with this combination of textures, and I never would’ve thought to put them together. There’s a real elegance to this outfit that reads ultra expensive. I really need to try to create my own version of this combination!
