Linen Loves for Summer

Every year I am contemplating what linen piece or pieces to add to my closet.  I used to not be a fan of linen because of the wrinkles, but I now accept it as part of its character. Plus it keeps you cool. And when you live in the South, you’ll take it!

How are you friends?

I have felt the garmut of emotions lately- Sadness, anger, frustration, anxiety. I want to feel good, but sometimes the world is hard to take! I will often give the advice of taking one day at a time, and I have to do this as well. If we perseverate on the past or look to the future, it can be overwhelming. Some of my friends feel the same, and when I go to my dry needling session, I truly look forward to talking to my PT and friend. It is important to stay in touch with people and friends during these trying times.

Linen Favs

Onto another subject of summer time and linen picks to keep you cool in the heat.

Here are some of my linen finds for this summer. Keep cool and stay hydrated! Why not look stylish while doing so.

Love this pretty shirtdress in rose pink. A classic and fun way to look stylish in the heat. Wear with espadrilles or slides.

This elegant linen top comes in white, tan and rose pink.

I always loved the look of this summer linen suit. If you wear longer or bermuda shorts, these are for you!

Straight linen blend pants come in multiple colors. I love the cut on these.

A linen tee is one to have in the summer. I have several in prints, but love the versatility of this white linen tee.

This linen button down comes in buttery yellow or white. A great classic piece for your summer wardrobe.

White linen pants always appeal to me, yet I don’t yet own a pair. Love the tie on these. Comes in multiple prints and colors.

This linen tank from H & M comes in a multitude of colors and would look great with shorts, skirts or a pair of linen pants.

Every lady needs a white dress for summer, and how about a white linen dress in a modern sillouete.

Are you a fan of linen? What pieces would you add to your closet this year?

Stay safe

Jess xx

I’ve been getting way more linen lately. I don’t love how it wrinkles as much but I’m trying hard to embrace the wrinkles, just like I do on my face…haha.

I always think linen looks great, but I’ve never wanted to deal with the wrinkles or its care. Interesting idea about considering the wrinkles a quirk rather than a flaw. In regard to the world, there have been some days where I am like the turtle who keeps her head tucked in her shell. I became exhausted and overstimulated by the emotions by the protests, although I am cautiously optimistic that these may lead to substantive changes. I just stayed off social media and focused on projects around the house. I am still limiting my social media time somewhat.

Hi Michelle! I have bought pieces over the years as when you live in the South, you need cool comfort! 🙂 I have taken a news break, just to take a break from all that is happening a bit. Everyone needs a bit of a breather in that regard. I do know what you mean!
