19 Sep Loafers are Trending -Easy Spirit “Make a Move Campaign”
Loafers are trending and I’ve styled the “Wendy” today from Easy Spirit today with a pledge to move!
Easy Spirit and the Make a Move” Campaign
Easy Spirit’s campaign “Movement for All” certainly appealed to me, and I wanted to join in on the pledge of moving at least 20 minutes a day.
20 minutes goes by quite quickly, and I know we can do it- whether by walking and enjoying the outdoors, walking at our office ( if you are working at location), taking your pup for a walk, running errands, etc. The idea is to move for 20 minutes a day. Since at present, I can’t sit much, I am standing up, I will walk on my treadmill- the idea is to just move. So much can be said for this. And the movement can also come personally, professionally or emotionally. I am moving on my health journey and continue to try and get the best treatment. for me. I ask alot of questions and seek out the better providers. So, movement in this way is moving forward to better my health.
We know what happens when you don’t move. Loss of strength, sore or weak muscles, lack of conditioning. It is just not good for overall health.
Now, back to movement and shoes. Who doesn’t like to talk about shoes. I mentioned them in one of my latest reels!
Well, Easy Spirit created this light as can be loafer and I loved the chunky sole and the color of course. You know Easy Spirit is a comfort brand, so I wanted to try them. For a bit, heels or higher heels are out for me (due to my condition) The support and cushion is just right and they really feel like sneakers. These are true to size, my size 8 and have a little room. Most of the time I would wear them with jeans or trousers and socks, so they would be fine. I love that a chunky sole doesn’t mean heavy, so these would be a great casual shoe, as I said, with jeans, but would look equally nice at an office, or a perfect shoe i you are a teacher. Wearing these with a tailored look, or jeans and a blazer would look sharp. They come in 5 different colors too.
As Fall weather approaches, who doesn’t love to see the leaves change or tale a walk to enjoy the cooler air?
Can you pledge to move 20 minutes a day?
70s style came back with this light button-down shirt from Caite and Kyla. Soon as I can wear jeans, I want to style this baby with flares! The mustard and rust colors the pattern. Love at first sight.
I styled it with a rust brown faux leather skirt from Zara I have had for years. And of course, my brown leather clutch reappears with this look.

Posted at 20:15h, 19 SeptemberI do love the idea that they are lightweight. Sometimes the clunkier shoes are so heavy and hard to walk in for a long time.
But 20 minutes? Oh yeah, we can do that.

Posted at 09:28h, 19 SeptemberWhat a lovely Fall outfit! The print in the blouse is amazing! And the loafers are such a lovely color. Lately, most of movement is in the garden. Not particularly aerobic, but it does put the body’s muscles through its paces.

Posted at 07:42h, 19 SeptemberThey’re gorgeous loafers, Jess. I adore the colour! I know the importance of movement, especially after seeing my MIL go down hill over the years because she hardly ever moved at all. Really sad to see loved ones go through that. But it’s really made an impact on me.
Big hugs
