20 Nov Lounge Wear for Less for the Holidays
So, I imagine there will be 2 camps this year mostly due to Covid. One group who is dying to dress up for the Holidays, another who wants comfort reigning above all. The loungewear group will exist this Holiday season.
Just as Jerry Seinfield used to say, “Not that there’s anything wrong with that!”
Whether its casual wear or dressed up styles, we all just want to wear what makes us feel good.
For me, I always have to be comfortable. Whether I am wearing dresses, heeled shoes, or leggings, comfort comes first .
I have in mind a particular loungewear set I bought last year, a sweater hoodie, and sweater material joggers . I have wanted cashmere joggers, but haven’t found some at a reasonable price .. yet.
I am buying my Gibson a pair of doggie sweat suit Adidog.. So you’ll have to look forward to that photoshoot after Christmas
There is much out there in he shops that are considered “loungewear” without the “frump” or “sloppy” factor. Loungewear has become more mainstream, partly due to Covid.
I love a great jogger pant, with a drawstring waist, and tapered pants. They have come a long way from sweat pants from years past!
More modern designs and cuts make it that outfit you can wear out of the house for grocery shopping and running errands, instead of only to lounge around the house, eating Doritos and watching your favorite Soap.
What’s Going on?
Since Wednesday, we are finally getting our floors installed. This has been a bit of a process! Back in June we got samples, then made 3 or ore trips to Floor and Decor, only to prefer the selection and service at Lowes. The floor is a warm brown wood with wide planks and character.
SO much nicer than the carpeting we had here when we first moved in.
Our house, mostly our bedroom looks like a war zone with things piled on top of one another, until they can go back into their place. So, I live with a bit of clutter, until this project is done, probably Friday.
I will share with you pictures of the final product on the blog! We also got a new area rug and stove.
Not much else, but I am dealing with leg pain that needs to be remedied through dry needling. I have 3 weeks in a row set up before Christmas, so I am in better shape!
Mom and I are contemplating the Thanksgiving meal, even though it will be just us sitting outside.
My selection of Lounge Wear
Before we get into the lounge wear, you gotta have a pair of cushy, soft slippers! I have a pair similar to these, and another more open toed version. This Jessica Simpson pair looks like the UGGs style for a fraction of the cost.
