NCN Professional Skincare Review

Hello friends

It has only taken me over 40 years to be pleased with the skin care products I am using. I know I “should have begun more of a skin care routine in my 20s, but let’s face it, as a college student,  it wasn’t easy to afford. I do feel like products have come a long way and finding the skin care routine that works for you doesn’t have to resemble the “search for the Holy Grail”.  I am going to introduce you to a product line today that I am quite pleased with, and have seen results.

I am not one to be easily convinced that it it “comes in pretty packaging” that is must work wonders! There are enough skin care lines out there that we should know much of it is marketing. I am more concerned with ingredients and what it does for my skin. I have reviewed other skin care lines, but this line was something I got excited about.  Nancy of NCN Professional Skincare reached out to me to review this line and I was quite interested in seeing what it could do for some of my skin care concerns as well as my interest in finding a more effective routine. I was asked what my skin concerns were and my type of skin. My skin is normal, gets drier in the winter. As far as concerns, with my fair skin, I have redness was also dealing with melasma from birth control pills causing hormone changes to my skin. I also wanted to lessen the forehead lines and some of the crows feet.

Nancy recommended these 5 products to me and mentioned that on average I would probably notice a change within 2 months time. I was excited to get started!

Microfiber Cleansing Cloth: I was sent this cloth to exfoliate my skin, which in turn would cleanse the skin, clean the pores create new skin cells and stimulate collagen. Nancy mentioned that ” acids or facial scrubs can dry out the skin” and this with water was the beginning step. My face felt clean, refreshed and ready for application of the products.

Vitamin C +Serum: If you have read any of my other reviews, you will know I am fond of serums. This goes on very light and a drop is really all that is needed. It is considered one of the mainstays of anti-aging as it stimulates collagen, diminishes wrinkles and reduces hyperpigmentation.  Ingredients include : MAP, Ferulic Acid, Vitamin E, Glutathione, Sea Kelp Bioferment, and Oat Beta Glucan,

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and helps the skin by protecting against free radicals ( molecules that can increase wrinkles, fine lines, dryness). It did have a slight smell when you first apply it, but later dissapated once on the skin. I  used this each morning after cleansing my face. In the two months that I have been using this, I have noticed a difference in my skin tone, creating a more even skin tone and the lighter patchiness of my melasma ( hyperpigmentation) has faded completely! My skin also felt more taut with the use of this serum. I knew this would be a mainstay in my morning skin care routine.

DNA Serum: This is another serum that has great antiaging properties. I used this in the morning, after I had waited a few minutes for the Vitamin C Serum to absorb. A small amount is all that is needed and used over my face and near the eyes.  This serum contains an active ingredient , Juvinity, which plumps skin, reduces wrinkles and dispels redness. I was interested in trying this do to the redness I have on my cheeks. I could see the difference in 2 months with a noticable reduction in redness. The DNA Serum also contains other active ingredients you can read about HERE. Besides the reduction in redness, my forehead lines were less noticeable. ( who wouldn’t love that!)

My 4th and last step in the morning routine was the I’M Covered Sunscreen SPF 32. As a person with fair skin, I know how important it is to protect my skin from sun damage. ( I learned my lesson when I was a kid! bad sunburn!) The foundation I use contains SPF, but I also love to wear a sunscreen on my face for additional protection. I loved this product, as not only was it very moisturizing, it was very helpful in reducing any hyperpigmentation as well. It goes on smoothly and has an active ingredient: Mulberry Root Extract, and an antioxidant Alpha Bisobolol which aids in moisturizing and stimulates collagen production. I know that SPF should be used daily as there are many sources of UV light. I used it daily before putting on my makeup and felt I didn’t need much, if any of a morning moisturizer because of it.

At night, the routine was simple. I would use the Multiacid Cleansing Gel. This was a gentle cleanser that helped clean my skin and get rid of dirt and makeup. I liked the feel of it and the way my face felt refreshed as a result. This would help dissolve  the dead skin cells and cleanse the skin. I would wait 10 minutes to apply the Retinol cream.

Last Product: All Trans-Retinol 2.0%.This retinol cream came in a pump and one pump was all that was needed to apply over my forehead face, near eyes. This was one product I was most interested in. I had been looking into seeing a dermatologist to get retinol cream prescribed, however when Nancy mentioned I try this, I was quite excited. Since I had not used a retinol cream in the past, I knew this was one anti-aging product that many women have in their skin care “arsenal”. It really is a must-have! I had some hopes and knew scientifically that retinol has been proven to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and a product that can fade hyperpigmentation. It also decreases lines and wrinkles and increases collagen/elastin production.

NCN states, “One of the things that makes our formula unique is that it has an active in it (Trylagen) that stimulates collagen type III, (the “youth collagen”) which is needed for firming skin. I can say, that after 2 months time, there has been a lessening and softening of my forehead wrinkles, a softening of some crows feet, and the hyperpigmentation has gone! I do think that is a result of the products together- the DNA, Vitamin C+ Serum and Retinol product. I used the DNA in the morning and at times in the evening.

I will continue to use these products and I feel they have made a difference in tone, decreased redness, eliminated my hyperpigmentaiton and softened wrinkles. The product I have remaining will last for another 3-4 months, as very small amounts are needed, making them quite cost-effective as well.  I will be purchasing these products in the future and feel quite excited to find skin care that works with my concerns.

Have a wonderful weekend and do check out their skin care products at NCN Professional  Skincare.

All of these products were Gifted to me for review. As always, my opinion and viewpoint are 100% honest.

**I will be out of town next week visiting my brother in DC for the Sakura/Cherry Blossom Season. I will return the following week with pictures, stories and look forward to seeing you then! I will be posting, however on Instagram and Facebook if you care to follow me there.

This was really interesting to read, as I am always refining my skincare options. I also have been considering a dermatologist appointment for retinol, so that item in particular also caught my attention. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for linking up.
