Olive This Shade of Green

IMG_6438 Hello Ladies

I know it is still early yet, with snow on the ground and wind chills in single digits. However, it seems as soon as designers and stores come out with their spring collection, I start to think of spring.

Did you get it though. Olive: this shade of Green… I love…this shade of green!

and..It is no surprise I love lace. There, I said it. Lace and florals. My two favorites. ok, Fur, I like fur too oh, and leather. I think my point is, I have a love for great materials and textures. There is good lace and no-so-good-lace. As I look over Pantone’s colors for spring, ( and I will do a post on this) there are alot of earthy tones and pastel colors.

Looking at these colors, I could use some more greens, but primarily blues in my closet. I don’t know about you, but I have gone toward many pinks, oranges, and some yellow or earth tones. I have mint, but could use more of the baby blue , steel blue hues as well as some greens for spring.

Olive, is a color that I have and always loved. As one of my favorite jackets, this is boiled wool, and the color grabbed me right away. As an earth tone, I can pair it many ways. I chose yet another one of my Ann Taylor vintage skirts with this rich olive green. I added my touch of vintage with this beautiful multi-green brooch, and these combat old fashioned looking boots by Sofft.
