11 Feb One Year Fashion Blog Anniversary

If my blog could sing, what would it sing?

Happy Birthday to  Me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday dear me, Happy Birthday to me. Yes, it is sometimes hard to believe it has been a one year anniversary for my blog, Elegantly Dressed and Stylish! I have received so many rewarding and positive outcomes from this blog, much more than I anticipated. I bought myself this skirt from Zara as a “one year gift”. I love the darker pink color, and yes! red-heads can wear pink!

Initially, my blog was to be considered a diversion, something to keep my mind away from the daily pain from Chronic Ehlers-Danlos. By focusing on something else, one’s mind can begin to concentrate on other things, thus driving the focus attention away from  something  which is considered negative or a hindrance.Well, ,it has become more than that. It still is a hobby, but I am a person who has always tried to do more than necessary, so I try and better myself and this blog as time goes on. I think you have an idea of my style by now, I love dresses and skirts, and vintage or vintage-inspired jewelry and clothes.

I also love to share some of the places we enjoy visiting, and my love for a great bottle of vino! My pups had to be included in this post as well, as they are my little loves, I adore them and the man behind the camera! My bog Gibson, is my shadow, my little teddy bear. My girl, Truffles, is a fun-spirited gentle little one that will always come to me in times of need.

I have also met friends. And although I have not met them in person, I feel that I have developed some close friendships , so that if we did meet, the conversation would flow as easily as water from the ocean.

I hope to continue to bring you my style, a bit of history on fashion, vintage finds, and other topics of interest. It has also made me aware that women can continue to dress lovely, have style, be confidant as we age, and do not have to accept that getting older means anything other than a number. ( well, in my case, a few more aches and pains)

I want to thank you, my readers and friends for being supportive, leaving those lovely comments, and also “being there”. I have learned much about style and fashion from you all as well.
