Hello Ladies,How was everyone's weekend?  It has been bitter cold here in Charlotte, NC and Jess doesn't do cold too well. However, being that I seem warm all of the time now ( midlife menopause) I told my hubby, where is the cold weather? So, I experienced the very cold in Harleysville, PA ( under 20 degrees) and i will take the "Southern Cold" instead! So, what is one to do besides cozy up near the fireplace and snuggle with the puppies? Wear layers! Today I am sharing a layered look in one of my favorite plaid Anthropologie blazers, jeans and OTK boots. I plan on writing a post on the importance of a investing in a good blazer, but today, I am talking about Over the knee boots.

Happy Friday ladies!I thought I would bring up an interesting topic, as we know that media and television can influence Fashion. If you watch, Netflix's The Crown, about the life of Queen Elizabeth II, in reign in the United Kingdom , you might be interested in how this 25 year old handled the responsibility of being Queen. The first season covers her marriage to Phillip, Duke of Edinburg, in 1947 to the failing relationship of her sister Margaret and Peter Townsend, in 1955.British Royalty has been a fascination for the American public, now evident with the Harry/Meghan Markle relationship. I am now watching Season II of the Crown, as the first shared the struggles the Queen endured as a young woman and reigning Queen. In addition to the relationships on the Crown, Fashion plays quite a role.

Happy Tuesday friends! It is finally getting a bit warmer here in NC. with balmy temperatures in the 50s! I am basically a cold weather "wimp', even though I grew up in Pittsburgh. I also used to teach "LifeSports" at a private school here, and just dreaded the winter, as the school didn't have a gym... the outdoors were the gym, and I would dread having to teach flag football to 40 kids in the cold. If you are starting to get in that "Spring frame of mind" check out yesterday's post, as I styled a tunic/lace dress from Joseph Ribkoff.  Today, howecer, I  am bundled up  with my Chicos finge leopard wrap, a surprise gift they sent to me before Christmas.

Hello Ladies!I hope you all kept warm and cozy over the weekend, as it was cold here in North Carolina. I suppose I am a bit of a cold weather "wimp' when it comes to Winter, I am just not that crazy about it. I try and schedule things in January and February that will lift my spirits. My husband was thinking the same thing when he bought tickets to see Chad ,a pianist, at The Jazz Room I look forward to seeing next week. Today, I thought I would share with you a bit of "spring' in the Wintertime, by styling a beautiful light pink tunic/off the shoulder dress from the Joseph Ribkoff Spring 2018 collection.
