Joseph Ribkoff – 1ereAvenue – Spring ’18 Tunic/Dress Styled for Winter

Hello Ladies!

I hope you all kept warm and cozy over the weekend, as it was cold here in North Carolina. I suppose I am a bit of a cold weather “wimp’ when it comes to Winter, I am just not that crazy about it. I try and schedule things in January and February that will lift my spirits. My husband was thinking the same thing when he bought tickets to see Chad ,a pianist, at The Jazz Room I look forward to seeing next week. Today, I thought I would share with you a bit of “spring’ in the Wintertime, by styling a beautiful light pink tunic/off the shoulder dress from the Joseph Ribkoff Spring 2018 collection.

Several months ago, I had chosen this Joseph Ribkoff lace tunic/dress you know i have loved the voluminous guipiere styled lace sleeves and pretty pastel shade. I was thinking ahead, as i see myself wearing it off the shoulder with strappy sandals in the warmer months. I had introduced you to the company, 1ereAvenue , a company that  has the largest selection of Joseph Ribkoff clothing in Canada. This was the third piece I have styled, so if you missed the previous posts, you can read about them here:

Military jacket and lattice pants from Joseph Ribkoff

Styling an OTS lace red blouse by Joseph Ribkoff  and black slacks by for the Holidays

New pretty purple/pink Kate Spade earrings-Thanks Mindy! ( my hairdresser gave them to me for Xmas)

Since I was to style this 3rd piece, I thought it might be a challenge as the ‘artic blast’ hit our area this week and it was pretty darn cold! However, I decided to style it as a tunic, enabling me to wear it on the shoulder as the elastic detail allows for wearing both on and off depending on the desired look ( and weather!) I added a pair of cream colored leggings, taupe over the knee boots, with the finishing touch being a rose floral scarf for additional color. My Fall/winter jacquard floral bag added interest with an eye-catching floral pattern as well.

So, think of these things if you are trying to style a spring piece for winter or Fall. What did I do?

  1. Add a scarf or another accessory for the season. ( adds visual interest with added color and pattern)
  2. Add a season appropriate handbag that will change the look to ‘winter’ instead of spring.
  3. Wear tall boots or booties.

I love the quality of Joseph Ribkoff clothes. This lace dress/tunic comes in sizes S-XL. I am wearing a size small for reference and it is  roomy, a comfortable style. This dress comes in different colors-Azure Blue, Powder pink, off white, champagne and black. I love the versatility as this dress can be worn with leggings, skinny jeans,, with a heel for a long, lean look or worn as is in the summer with a beautiful strappy heel. When buying clothes, these days, I try and think of all of the ways a garment can be worn. This fits the bill!

I hope to share with you some additional items from 1ereAvnenue, as the Joseph Ribkoff Spring ’18 line is right up my alley with gorgeous colorful florals and bold colors! Check out the beautiful LOOKBOOK for SS 2018.
