Fall Trends NYFW- Styling My Floral Purple and Navy Dress for Fall/ Denim Look 3
This is kind of a combination of a series I wanted to do on the blog sharing how i incorporate the NYFW Fall Trends with my closet, and put together a similar look Think of this as a Two-fer! A NYFW inspired outfit and a Denim Trends look. My denim item this week, is the classic jean jacket. As I research Fall Fashions from the runway, I came upon these looks that of course I love and want to style. Fall florals are big for Fall 2016 on the runway and I chose to style it with clothes from my closet. I went to Fashion Week last year, this year it is my mom's turn! I look forward to hearing about her experience and will write about it here. I really love some of the runway trends, and what is great about this look is that it is truly something one can wear "in real life". I truly love to take items that are currently in my closet and wear them for another season. I have worn this ASOS dress several times in the spring, as you can see here. The color pallete however, does lend itself to Fall months, as it has deep plums, grey and navy tones.
I decided to wear my F21 jean jacket as I emulate the look from the runway, and also because you have never seen me in a jean jacket! The vintage brooch inspiration is taken from fellow bloggers, Suzanne of Suzanne Carillo Blog and Anna of Annas Island Style; I added some of my purple toned vintage brooches to the look. I wouldnt mind looking for some embroidered patches I could add to the jacket as well.
Hello Ladies!I hope everyone is doing well. We had our first weekend here, where we didn't feel like we spent hours in a sweat lodge! It was mid 70s and mid 80s, which is a bit cooler than it has been . I love to walk in the woods, pups in tow and just enjoy nature and quiet. We decided to go to King's Mountain, about an hour's drive, go for a short hike and have a picnic lunch. As far as today's outfit, I am sharing Denim Look #2, with the Mid waisted flared jeans, with a medium wash, super soft denim. I have purchased dark denim clean flares, with no distressing, just a dark rinse that I will share another time, a dressier style. I thought these were pretty cool, and I have always liked flares, just haven't worn them much on the blog yet. It has been too hot to layer as of late, so I decided to wear this brown plaid vest for added pattern interest, and my nod to Fall, even though it hasn't hit here yet.! I mixed some floral and stripes in yesterday's blog post
Hello Ladies!Happy Labor Day ( here in the States) . I took these photos last week, as I wanted to do a black and white look, but then got sidelined by the jean posts. So, here we are. I hope you are enjoying the weekend. We took the pups to King Mountain, an hour's drive from our house. We walked in the woods, and had a picnic lunch enjoying the scenery. To me, hiking in the woods is one of the most tranquil ways to spend my time. I'm not thinking about so many things but rather enjoying the peacefulness and nature that surrounds me. My pups love it too.I am hoping this Fall to get into mixing prints a bit more. This is a basic way to mix prints using stripes and florals. I styled another look with this skirt, mixing prints earlier in the spring season
