12 Sep Fall Trends NYFW- Styling My Floral Purple and Navy Dress for Fall/ Denim Look 3
This is kind of a combination of a series I wanted to do on the blog sharing how i incorporate the NYFW Fall Trends with my closet, and put together a similar look Think of this as a Two-fer! A NYFW inspired outfit and a Denim Trends look. My denim item this week, is the classic jean jacket.
As I research Fall Fashions from the runway, I came upon these looks that of course I love and want to style. Fall florals are big for Fall 2016 on the runway and I chose to style it with clothes from my closet. I went to Fashion Week last year, this year it is my mom’s turn! I look forward to hearing about her experience and will write about it here. I really love some of the runway trends, and what is great about this look is that it is truly something one can wear “in real life”. I truly love to take items that are currently in my closet and wear them for another season. I have worn this ASOS dress several times in the spring, as you can see here. The color pallete however, does lend itself to Fall months, as it has deep plums, grey and navy tones.
I decided to wear my F21 jean jacket as I emulate the look from the runway, and also because you have never seen me in a jean jacket! The vintage brooch inspiration is taken from fellow bloggers, Suzanne of Suzanne Carillo Blog and Anna of Annas Island Style; I added some of my purple toned vintage brooches to the look. I wouldnt mind looking for some embroidered patches I could add to the jacket as well.
So, being that I was not there, I thought I would look to see what some of the trends for FW16 were. This is just one of the looks I will incorporate for Fall, off the runway. I plan to share with you several more. You all know I have a “few” more floral dresses in my closet I can style for Fall. These burgundy faux alligator leather booties were last year’s purchase, and are some of my favorite. I decided to use the plum tones in the dress and add this vintage purple necklace, earrings, and also my rich plum leather Tressje satchel.
Just change out the boots for sandals and a lighter colored handbag and you have a simple spring look. It is great to have versatility in your wardrobe!
Tell me if this is one trend you are interested in wearing this Fall? Let me know what you think in the comments!

Posted at 11:37h, 12 SeptemberThe colours in the floral print dress are perfect for fall. I love wearing berry tones this time of year. I like how you’ve styled it with the denim jacket and brooches. I pimped up a denim jacket with some patches but haven’t worn it yet because I wasn’t sure what to wear with it…you’ve given me the idea of trying it with a dress now 🙂

I do love this idea of piling on the brooches on a jean jacket! We only put two on mom’s jacket on the last post, but maybe I’ll be more daring and go hog wild next time!!
