18 Jun Pastels and My Watercolor Skirt
Morning!
I am still on the road, making my way back to Charlotte tonight. I am exhausted from the trip, it took us 10 hours to get to the Burgh. and probably the same to get back. The pups were so good, just sleeping all of the way. We had a surprise birthday party for my mom, as myself and my siblings have been planning for awhile. we brought my mom back to Charlotte, for some relaxation and to hang out with my sis and I. You can read a bit more about it tomorrow.
Pastels for Spring is something that seems to be popular every year. I decided to wear a soft pink shell, but bring it to life by adding this colorful watercolor skirt. If you are going to wear a pastel and have fair skin, this is one way of adding some “oomph’ to your look. Your eye is brought to the colors in the skirt, even if the top is more subdued.
We are on our way back to Charlotte, with my mom, sis and niece in tow. It will be about a 9 hour drive, so I will get to the blog tomorrow – mom is visiting for the next couple of weeks. I am looking forward to spending some time with her and showing her the sights. I make sure I have my Kindle and will listen to music. We also like to stop for lunch on the way, so I am sure we will find a Panera somewhere on route.
I will be sharing some new pieces for summer soon, but love the colors in this skirt, which I have had for years from LOFT. The skirt has a multitude of such pretty colors like reds, burndt orange, coral, tan, pinks, there are so many colors you could wear with it.
Ive added my blush tassle earrings for more earring fun. It was also high time for me to take out my Rebecca Minkoff quilted bag from my closet. ( It was getting lonely).
I have several watercolor pieces in my wardrobe, and love this look as both soft and feminine.
If you have been following my blog for awhile, you know I love color!
Polka Dots are trending right now. I loves the accented collar and top portion of this shell. No need for a necklace, as the dots draw the eye to this area.
Do you have any watercolor prints?
Have a great day!
