06 Aug Pink, Black and Some Cat

Hello Ladies! Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a great week. Someone told me the other day I had a great smile. I told her that I have been conditioned, as my dad had a darkroom growing up, so that is what we learned to do. So, regardless of how I feel, I am compelled to smile in almost all of my photographs.

Last but not least a pic of my new Tortoise Cat eye glasses . I got Transitions to wear them as sunglasses.

Today was a lovely day and we decided to take the pups out. You could just tell by the looks on their faces they were getting cabin fever! ( ok maybe it was my face), but the weather was cooler, unlike the scorching hot humid air we’ve been having that is not conducive to dogs. My hubby and I at times, like to just go for appetizers and drinks. We did just that, fish tacos and some portebello raviolis. Well, these puppies aren’t dumb! They do what I think most do. Lay in the spot where the food drops. So, here they are sitting under a wicker table and my boy Gibby realizes it’s raining mango and taco sauce. I am anything BUT elegant when eating tacos. So, I ended up washing his head when we got home as he smelled like a spicy taco dog.

On to my fashion of the day. I do have a fair amount of pink in my closet, and it has just picked up through the last couple of years. I just like a certain shade then I go for it. This ensemble is from one of my favorite stores Ann Taylor, although the skirt I bought for a steal on Ebay. Because of my illness, I can’t go to thrift stores and stand around, but I have gotten some bargains from Ebay this year. IS anyone else like me, enjoying the sheer fun of packages being delivered to one’s door? I paired this guava pink top with this crochet pencil skirt. Besides liking florals, I am a fan of texture in skirts. I bought the kitten heels from Poshmark, as I needed some pointy toed shoes, they are a staple! The black accents were kind of an inspiration from other bloggers pairing black and pink in different ways, kudos to them!

Last but not least, I had been on a search for cat eye glasses ever since readers.com, had me model a pair. So, these were bought and everything has to be prescription as I can’t see worth a darn.. I made them in to sunglasses. I just felt that cat eye frames really speak to me. And to be even MORE aprapo, I am wearing KITTEN heels! haha.
