21 Mar Purple jewel tone and lace
Hello ALL!
I actually took down the picture of the one where I have my arms folded and and was very very cold when this was taken. I just kept going on with my familiar grin, just thinking in my head, as my hubby tries out various angles or views, ” Hurry up now!” The weather I believe should change for the better, high 60s and up next week. I always felt the day OF spring, flowers should be blooming, and no matter how cold or windy it may have been, the sun would appear that day. Nevertheless, we went back to another favorite haunt, where one starts to become familiar, know “your seat” etc. We are not at the point where we order the same stuff and don’t have to open our mouths in order for the waitress to bring the order. That is when you know you go there tooo often. Hubby had a smoked salmon BLT with fries, I shared, and had their coffeebar coffee, delish. I also had one of their flown-in -from -France pastries. What a difference! With a Starbucks scone, or those of the like, you may be able to injure someone as they are often heavy and brick like. ( still taste good) but these are warm, flaky and buttery, so good.
We decided to get some shots behind the restaurant where there are couches people can lounge, eat and drink, and enjoy the view of the Lake in the summer. So, I went out a bit on the pier. I have had this jacket for awhile, but it is still one of my favorites. You know my love of sweater dresses, and the black lace against the grey backdrop, not to mention how it fit, was so nice. I thought to bring out this jewel toned purple jacket to add color interest, and pair it with my plum girly, ruffled and braided handbag by Treesje. My husband was worried it was going to fall overboard. No chance. My chandelier earrings, at first, felt like chandeliers. I received them from Etsy, as a gift at Christmas; I got used to them fast. Had to have my vintage earrings, as these were the first time I wore them.
Enjoy the weekend!

Posted at 14:41h, 22 MarchHi Jess, on the first day of spring I was thinking there was an error on the date and that it was really April 1. It was snowing like crazy Thurs. and yesterday. The weather reporters kept promising that as the weekend approached it would get warmer but the warmest it’s gotten is in the mid to low 30s brrrrrr. One wouldn’t know it from your pictures that you’re cold, I always try to summon a hot flash in those type situations to no avail.
Love your ensemble! The earrings are quite lovely (I wish I could wear posts again but they started hurting my ears years ago and I just can’t do it anymore, so it’s fish hooks for me).

Posted at 15:40h, 22 MarchHi Steph, I learn to fake it in my pics if I am cold, and wow it was that day. Hoping for better days next week, as the next 2 are in the 40s and rain. Hot flashes only come to me at night Hahah.
Thank you! I wanted to have a brighter color besides the grey and black, so I pulled this out of my closet, I asked me hubby if he could use the guest’s closet but was just kidding, like I would really take over the entire closet!!
The earrings are big, and I thought heavy, but they arent after a day of wearing them. Thanks and have a good day, stay warm ( if it is still cold theE)

Posted at 15:21h, 21 MarchI love the way you wear jumper dresses too. Im not one for too much detail as I prefer things plain and jumper dresses seem to fit the bill perfectly. Love the colour of the jacket.:)

Posted at 19:05h, 21 MarchThanks Sian, I love sweater dresses, they are great as go to outfits when the weather is chilly, as put a jacket over it to add some more color, add acessories. Also, I love the comfort factor. I am a huge fan of lace. I appreciate the comments 🙂 Have a great weekend!

Posted at 19:09h, 21 MarchTHank You Sandra! Oh so neat, from Lake Norman. When will you be back in the area. I have always wanted a mountain house in Asheville. Thank you for the compliments< this is one of my favorite purples, along with the lavendar I have in my closet. Yes, me too regarding the colors, but there are some pretty romantic, and feminine colors for spring. Will look back at your site tomorrow, tired at the moment. Have a great weekend. Jess
