15 Oct Purple, Puppies, and Pants!

Hello Ladies

I know that you are used to seeing scenes of the Lake, us out at various wine bars and backdrops of trees. Well, today looking at the radar early in the morning, was not going to be that way. A huge storm was coming our way, so even though we have a flash for dark days, we don’t have anything to stop pouring down rain. Needless to say, the environment isn’t as exciting, but the company was, my puppies, Gibson and Truffles decided to enlighten our indoor pics.

I decided to wear a pair of boyfriend jeans I bought years ago at Loft. I love a destructed look, dark wash, but a look that is torn, ripped, can be so cool. My father-in-law told me, he didn’t know ripped jeans were in fashion, and that he would have kept that 20yr old pair if his if he had known!! I tried to explain there were cycles in fashion, and what is in now, may be years later…  Anyhow, this was a goal of mine, as silly as it sounds, to wear a pair of jeans, as my leg sensitivity at times, just doesnt find them comfortable. I now find that I can wear pairs for periods of time, or if the material is soft.

I also like to counteract a Boyfriend baggy jean look with a more fitted feminine top or sweater. This Banana Republic deep purple sweater was just the thing. When I saw it online, I loved the embellishment with the purple roses and leaves. I knew I could wear it either dressed up or in a more casual way. I like to dress up even a more casual look as I am not much of a jeans and t-shirt, sneaakers girl. If I have a bad day, I just go for my Carole Hochman robe. Otherwise, when I go out, I tend to dress up. This look, even with BF jeans can be dressed up with the sweater, and then my other thrifty purchase, these velvet bow adorned plum and grey tweed kitten heels. Prrrrrr… I am all about the kitten heel and the cat eyes, that’s me!  I love tweed, so thought, texture with the tweed, and the roses on the sweater would also add interest to the outfit.

Lastly, my love of handbags, led me choose this Treesje Magnolia in Plum. This was a must have bag by the Purse Forum, about 4 years ago. I found myself slowly leaving as I thought I could be too tempted, who doesn’t love a beautiful handbag? Texture here with the ruffles and braids also added to the look

Lastly, did you notice I am wearing fur? haha, fur babies, that is? My little boy loves the limelight, my girl can be a little princess.
