Red Sweater Over Floral Fall Dress

If you haven’t tried to wear a sweater over a lighter dress, give it a try! Picking up the colors of the roses in my chiffon floral print, I added rich red and burgundy tones.

Outfit

I wore this Zara dress for a Fall wedding a year or so ago, and I wanted to style it for Fall.

The colors in this romantic dress are darker tones with pine green, deep red,  burgundy ,rose and peaches, olive .

The burgundy booties ( croc texture) and solid rich burgundy Rebecca Minkoff bag also pick up these rich shades of the roses in the dress.

Give it a try! Fall florals are always lovely to me, I am just a floral girl any time of year. I do tend toward larger prints though, for a more modern look.

This weekend

We did enjoy a day out with lunch overlooking Lake Norman and later had a bottle of wine shared between the 3 of us.

Sunday I began to clean all of the personal items off the floor, as we finally got our new wood flooring from Lowes after having much difficulty with Floor and Decor, a specialized store. Sometimes I think customer service no longer exists, but we did have a good experience at our Flagship store near us. Hubby had to lug in a ton ( literally!) of flooring and we met with the installer. So now it is a matter of replacing toilets and getting some small things we need for the install. I think it will be done before THanksgiving, at least before Christmas~ I am excited, as the planks are a chocolate brown and I am ready for a makeover.

I also was very productive and bought a few Christmas gifts over the weekend. I am “in charge” of the shopping, wrapping and getting the gifts ready. I do enjoy it, and always get excited to give the personal gifts

Gorgeous outfit! I love everything about it! I’ve come to the realization that all of my florals are really tropical. I need to fix that! Ooh, your flooring project sounds so exciting. Remember to take before and after pics!

What a great look, Jess. I really like the lacy look and easy fit of your cardigan. I’m excited to hear about your flooring as that’s in the mix for us at the beginning of the year. Please show us a quick “after!” Hugs!

Pretty combo! The colors in the dress are so pretty and the cardigan is perfect – really makes the roses pop! Wow, I am impressed you’ve already bought some Christmas presents. I have no idea what I’m buying for anyone – we honestly don’t do tons of gifts and we’ve been so busy with our renovations. Guess I better get crackin’!
