07 Apr Relaxing by the Lake
It was a sunny and bright warm day. We both looked forward to going to the place where ” Everybody knows your name” ( Cheers reference: circa 1980’s). Well, the owner and some of the wait staff did anyway. Port City Club, I have mentioned here before, has great outdoor seating, and even areas with a fair amount of couches, which can be dangerous after a glass and a half of wine for me. Makes you want to just reach for a pillow and curl up. The warmth, lovely atmosphere of the lake, the boats, and people quitely talking and sipping their wine or beer. We had a purpose! Yes, first for me, it was to eat the best vegetable and cheese foccascia sandwich around, and have a glass of Granache, second, was my husband eating pork sliders on sweet potato rolls. Then we were off to locate a nice place to take pictures. When we have this in between weather it is hard to know what you want to wear, so I thought since I am typically cold, I would have this jacket on. First day in spring I probably didn’t need one. Que sera sera. Well, one place I know I need to visit is the pedicurist, I did my nails myself in an OPI pastel pink. Alas, we don’t own a boat.

Posted at 21:43h, 07 AprilTHats sweet. I think you can still get the jacket, a good TArget find. The scarf, I searched for a bright pink with other colors. And the skirt was last year. If I find a similar skirt, I will let you know. Thank you. Have a nice night!

Posted at 15:34h, 07 AprilHi Jess! Love how you’ve softened the look of the bright skirt with your grey jacket! So pretty! And the scarf really adds a nice finishing touch. And lets talk about the location – gorgeous! Sounds like it was a lovely day!

Posted at 15:45h, 07 AprilThanks Mary! I like the pairing of grey and pinks, have ideas for when it is even warmer. I used to not get into pinks as much, and now my closet is full of them! For me, something has to really catch my eye. I also just started wearing scarves a few years ago, just more of a necklace girl, but they can really add color to an outfit. THanks so much. Yes, we are lucky where we are, they just redid this restaurant, and my husband and I were waiting for a lovely upscale restaurant on the water. I know what kind of heels I would wear with these, but my illness doesn;t allow for heels. It was lovely.

Posted at 14:41h, 07 AprilSo beautiful, Jess! I love how you paired this bright pink colour with silver grey, that’s perfect. First I wasn’t sure whether it is maybe a dress. When it is getting warmer, I’d love to see how you wear the skirt without a blazer.
I once owned a sailing boat at a very nice lake in my area. So happy for your lovely day out in a nice restaurant by the lake!
