Review of Rockport Floral Flats- Total Motion Collection

IMG_7256

Hello Ladies

Today I am sharing with you a review of some new shoes from Rockport. When they initially contacted me, I was hesitant, as I knew Rockport from years back when my Dad was wearing their shoes. The name conjured up some shoes that were meant for stability, cushion but not as much looks. However, times have changed, and Rockport has some wonderful shoes to choose from. The image is different and the styles are on trend with the looks of today. I was thrilled when I saw these floral flats made with their “Total Motion technology”. For me, as for I imagine many women, the appeal of comfort and style is what one looks for in a shoe. They are the Total Motion Adelyn  Ballet flat.

As you know, I am very particular about shoes, as it was only 8 years ago, when I could only wear sneakers due to my Ehlers-Danlos condition. I found that I had a hard time standing in any shoes other than a tennis shoe, as I needed more support, and stability. Rockport has such stability in these shoes. They have flexibility, as well as stability as the insoles provide thermoplatic polyurethane plates”.   They have foam footbeds which provide cushioning. They also use “Sports technology” with cushioned centers to provide comfortable movement every time one steps. The rubber bottoms are also a great feature on both the heels and flats in the Total Motion collection. The Sports Technology is by Adidas and aids in heel cushioning, shock absorbtion and stability. Read more about the Technology here.

I found these floral flats comfortable from the time I put them on. In addition to my condition, I also have a high arch. The cushioned footbed aids in the fit of the shoes and they were not slipping off my foot like some shoes will do with such a high arch. I was asked to choose from 3 pairs and it was not difficult at all as I zeroed in on the floral pointed flats, as the pinks, reds and green looked so lovely and elegant. When I received the shoe, I loved that they were quite substantial, made quite well, and I looked forward to wearing them.

I can see myself wearing these flats with many looks and love that they possess the style and comfort that I seek. Today I paired them with a pink crochet pencil skirt from Ann Taylor, a monochromatic look with the same colored top, but added the classic white blazer with peach star button details for a more structured and classic look. The textured and patterned Rockport Adelyn Ballet flats were the perfect complement with this look as they added a fresh floral print for spring completing the outfit. I can see myself wearing these with perhaps a LWD ( little white dress) , a pair of boyfriend jeans for a more casual look, or dressed up as I have today.

C/O- These shoes were gifted by Rockport. My review and opinion are that of my own.

These little flats look so cute and go perfectly with your coral outfit. I love the unusual buttons on your jacket by the way. I sometimes change buttons if I think they are a bit plain – it can really give the item a very unique twist. Some of those pumps with heels are adorable too, swoon!

I quickly went through this posting this morning at work and made a mental note of the shoes, because they’re gorgeous. Just before lunch, my trusty flats, that I’ve had for years, ripped at the sole., creating a gap by my toe. At lunch, I popped into Macy’s and low and behold, they had a Rockport display right up front. Without any further thought, I tried on a pair of beige patent leather pumps and bought them on the spot. They are incredibly comfortable. Feels like I’m walking on air. Thanks Jess.

      Hi Ellie!
That is wonderful! Glad you enjoyed the review and were able to find them straightaway at Macys. It seems like it was great timing! If I can find shoes that are comfortable and stylish, they are winners in my book!
      Enjoy your weekend

Hi Andrea! I know. Initially, that was my first reaction, but many companies change with the times, and Rockport has done so. I couldn’t resist these flats and they are made so well! Thank you for the compliment on my outfit.

Hmmmm….I have to admit, i would never have considered Rockport—for exactly the reasons you stated! But your flats are so stylish (and your style to a tee!) I’d love to try the heels—I wonder if they are more comfortable than the run of the mill heels?
Your outfit is divine—the buttons on that jacket—so lovely (did it come that way or did you change them out?)

Tell me about it! When they contacted me, I thought of my dad’s big black clunky shoes! They have changed their image and I love these! I bet the heels would be great they have the total motion technology and padding.
The buttons came this way, I love details as you know, this is the Limited.
