I am starting to think that Charlotte is a bit unpredictable. Sunny and 72 one day this week, 50 today and chilly. Ok. I guess it is a goofy name for the title of this post, I just can’t help it. I look at it and think of is it a butterfly, just an ink blot, or am I just thinking about the garment too much? This dress, found at Target, was one of those high low buys. The low being the target dress in and of itself, the high being the Rebecca Minkoff Amorous Bag with it. Ms. Minkoff would be proud as this bag has been used often. I am a fan of quilted bags, I suppose as it is so iconic with Chanel. I also like silver hardware, and this is kind of edgy due to the silver spikes popping up. Anyone that knows me, knows how “Edgy” I am!  I suppose you also know I like the color red.

Spring is upon us, so I can get out more of my prints and other colors you will like 🙂

Wow such a pretty color on you! I love the design on this dress and you have made the Target dress look like a designer piece. Beautiful accessories and I like your bag and boots. Looks like great weather, even with the temps going up and down. You have such pretty hair and in a fabulous color.

Thank you! I saw you in that lovely red dress, and I am a fan of that dark red color. In the spring, I have more blues and pink…I really appreciate the complimentS.

Loved your brown outfit the other day and love this too. You definitely have a great way of putting things together without looking too “done”. Where is “Charlotte” by the way? Im in North Wales in the United Kingdom. Look forward to reading through your blog. 🙂

You look so smashing in red! The weather has been crazy in Missouri as well – 60s on Friday and now it’s 30 with snow on the ground. I guess Spring will truly get here soon. I love the title of your post, by the way. 😉

Thank you. I didn’t realize I had this much red in my wardrobe. I just wear what stands out to me in the shops at the time. I am working on buying more blue hues this season. I am glad you like the title! I was thinking that people weren’t getting it.. I can have a goofy sense of humour!

Thank you Monika. Nice of you to stop by, hope you drop in again. I will visit your blog tomorrow, just caught a bit about the blue bags! I am with you, I bought a Brahmin bag that is like a blueish purple, almost lavendar. I will stop by as it is late here. Thank you about my hair, I won’t go grey, as I will keep my red. Take care

I am sure you could! They are great dresses, and so comfortable. Thank you for the compliment. 🙂 So sweet. I responded on your site about the slip on sneakers. I have Sam Eldeman leopard print, and a pair of snake skin ones. They are so cute and comfy. Check out on-line shoes, Topshop… I will come back to your site. Pop by anytime .

You are in great shape. Thank you for giving us more “mature” ladies a classy voice on the web. Love the dress and the boots!

Thank you Lynna, Appreciate the compliments. The dress was my style and when I saw it in Target, tried it on, I figured, this is my dress, comfortable and stylish. The boots are Keen, which are considered a comfort boot, but manufacturers are becoming more aware of women with foot problems, etc, who want comfort, also want stylish shoes and boots.

Jess, ruby red suits you, with your fair skin and gorgeous hair. Whatever we choose to call that print, lets just settle that it is gorgeous! An amazing find a tTarget, ( a store I love but cant get to now!) Love it paired with the RM bag, I do agree the texture from the bag adds a nice element to the outfit. You look stunning and, sorry, but it is true: radiant! Also love the red toned legs, nice detail.

Thank you again Elle. I tried this on, and really liked it, and I could live in sweater dresses! The Rebecca Minkoff Bag has been my favorite bag, I kept looking at it, and then decided to buy and the quilting sold it. Thank you for the lovely compliments. I think it is funny, I will take radiant, but love it when people call ladies over 40 “sassy”. My hairstylist would call me that and I don’t know why it drove me kinda batty, but what was even funnier, was when she would call me Miss Jessica. I don’t her I don’t work at night and wear dark black leather and black masks! We both cracked up. I told her Jess was fine! thanks Jess

Another gorgeous look in a jewel tone, Jess. These colours are made for you!

The price of a piece doesn’t determine the look. I have seen blogs with all designer clothes and well, I wasn’t impressed at all. I think it is all about the right mix and when you have style, you have it with or without very expensive pieces.

Have a lovely weekend, we are setting off for a day in Munich now, brunch and some window shopping.

Thank you , now I feel like I should always wear jewel tones ! kidding. I appreciate the compliment. I know, prices of items and non designer pieces are not what makes the outfit\ I think pairing sometimes pricier or better yet, investment pieces that are of great quality, with a less expensive piece can work quite well. I think the most important thing is the quality of the piece and the fit. Very true!
Have a great weekend yourself. Sounds like a lovely day! I hope to go to a Winery/Vineyard and sit outside as it is supposed to hit 72 today. We have so many within a 1.5 hour or so drive, I love to do wine tastings and try different things, If we do, I hope to take pictures of the vineyard along with an outfit. 🙂

Thanks Pam! You too. I know, I am going to wear some spring clothes next week, and maybe the weather will change with me!! One day we are outside drinking a glass of vino in some sun, another day, it is chilly and we have to sit inside Thank you for the compliment on the dress! Now, if I were Rorschack, what do you see in the print?
