Happy Monday Ladies!
You know the song sung by Bobby Vinton. ( More my parent’s era, but I heard it) Ok, maybe you are too young. “Blue Velvet” goes like this…
She wore blue velvet…woah, woah, woah
Bluer than velvet was the night
Softer than satin was the light
From the stars
Nevertheless, I am wearing Green Velvet and yet, there are no songs about it!
This emerald green jacket of mine must be 10 years old, bought on Ebay that long ago. I love the saturated emerald green color and the softness of the jacket. I am one to think that jackets that are made well add shape and create interest and proportion in an outfit. In the same vein, I think I bought this flirty, black and white tweed skirt around the same time. Tweed, in my opinion, is one of those textures that is classic and stands the test of time. Reminds us of fall. So, I wanted to pair this skirt with a rich fall/winter color, along with the boots you saw last week. January is one of my least favorite months, as it is usually just dreary and cold. Today we got dreary, cold and rainy! A perfect weather trifecta!! On the bright side, the weekends are nice just watching movies and curling up with the pups, while drinking some hot cocoa. There is that.
Have a great week!!
