22 Oct Soft Surroundings – Raffinato Grey Sweater Dress -Fall Collection

Today I am bringing you another Fall look  from Soft Surroundings.  I just love their soft garments, the styles and detail in their clothing. This dress, the Raffinato dress,  a soft, medium heather grey sweater dress, called to me from their Fall collection. I love wearing sweater dresses in the Fall and pairing them with boots/booties.  “The mastery is in the stitch work, as the sweater dress discovers European refinement in this shapely slip over. Varied knits sculpt the waist and minimize the shoulders” The flouncy hem of the dress and shape adds to its sophistication. 

It has been so dry here, we don’t have as many changing leaves as I want to see. It has been that way for the past 2 years.

Soft Surroundings

By now, if you are a reader, you know I LOVE Soft Surroundings. There is nothing like putting on a garment that is comfortable and soft, yet also very stylish.

I was attracted to this Raffinato dress when I first came across Soft Surroundings as I loved the shape and the structured look of this sweater dress. Anyone who knows me, knows I love sweater dresses! So comfortable and easy to style. Some textured tights and booties and you are almost there!

I have mentioned before another positive to Soft Surroundings is the fit for me. I consistently wear an XS in their dresses and tops. It makes shopping on-line easy and I always make note of those stores where I consistently wear a certain size.

The quality is wonderful. This is a substantial material, not one to lose its shape easily. The Raffinato dress also comes in black, a great LBD to have for your Fall/Winter wardrobe.

Remember when I wrote a post about Charlotte’s Soft Surroundings store? Well, I wrote about beauty products from SS, and will be trying Fillerina in November. I am excited!

My Outfit

I certainly could have paired this grey dress with the Leela Snakeskin booties, for a more neutral look. I wore the booties on this post recently

Plaid Dress and Snakeskin booties. However, I wanted to add some rich color to the look and styled it with some textured tights and my Marc Fisher brocade booties.

I had wanted these booties last year on the Nordstrom site, but they were a bit expensive. I waited a year, and the same booties popped up on the 6pm site, where I bought them for around $70 shipped! 6pm is a great place to check out older styles for very reasonable prices.

I just love the burgundy, navy colors in these boots and thought they would stand out with the dress. I added this fabulous Bordeaux Blooms pin, by Soft Surroundings adding rich color and texture to the dress. It was amazing that the pin was replicated in the booties, totally unplanned!

I have several bags that would look great with this dress, and chose a textured clutch by JJWinters. I bought the bag from Ebay.

Other Fall Favorites

The rich velvet and fall colors of this Tamara Topper is so pretty! Add it to jeans and a cami or tee and you’ve got a great look!

This in on my “want” list. I love the pumpkin color of this long cardigan, the Mara Topper.
