Summer Essentials

Hello Ladies

Happy Weekend! Well,  since the heat is on , I thought it time to put together a list to get one started on some summer essentials. Swimsuits purchases may be made easier by mixing and matching tops and bottoms, or seeing what best suits us. Anyhow, I picked some items that I either have or would be needing for the Summer Months.  Although, not particularly fashion, sunscreen is a must! Gone are my days of being a teenager and horrifyingly using baby oil to get a “tan” ( Read: Burn!) With fair skin, or without, sunscreen is essential to keep one’s skin healthy . I hope you enjoy my list to get you started with the summer months! These are just a few things to get one started on their summer needs.

The big picture: As a trend, and keeping one cool, the off the shoulder top is a great look and a fun summer item for your wardrobe. White is popping up everywhere this summer!

Bottom Left: White jeans. These are LOFT skinny jeans, but there are many styles to choose from to incorporate into your summer wardrobe.

Linen: This pale rose Linen dress by ASOS will also keep you cool, while looking stylish. Linen looks are big this summer as well. I am looking forward to sharing with you an exciting collaboration involving Linen this summer!

Takini/Swimsuit. Many ladies are going to be looking for the perfect swimsuit. Athleta has many tops and bottoms you can mix and match. Altheta, a Gap company has many suits, tankinis to choose from. I love these swim suit shorts with a bikini or tankini top. I do like wearing a bikini, but find that I must be careful of the sun. And remember, if you are 40+, and enjoy wearing it with confidence, that is all that matters! It is about ones own comfort level.

Hat: Although this hat is pretty glam, it is important to protect one’s face from the sun! Find a hat that suits you, this one is from ASOS.

Sunscreen: Very important! I use 50+, as I have fair skin that burns easily, but sunscreen is a necessity to protect our skin from the sun rays. This is from Sephora, MD Solarsciences SPF 50.

Espadrilles: Easy for summertime and fun to wear. This style has a supportive platform which is better for one’s feet than a totally flat shoe. HM

Beach Bag: I bought this, so you may see it on the blog soon, Zara has this great tote bag, with an attached inner bag for sunglasses, keys, phone etc. Find it on ZARA.

Here are a few other examples of these summer items, and I have included sunglasses as well. My favorite style being the cat eye

Have a great weekend! I am going to enjoy the pool!
