St Patty’s Day Green Casual Outfit

St Patty’s Day is this week, and as an Irish colleen ( woman, in Ireland) , I had to style some green.

Happy Monday!

I hope you are well. I had a stomach bug this past week, so I didn’t make Friday’s post. Feeling much better now.

St Patty’s Day and Wearing Green

Ah, the “Luck of the Irish”! I suppose it is, as I can sign up for the vaccine on St Patty’s day, due to my preexisting condition!

Why do we were green on St Patty’s Day?

The folklore says that by wearing green we become invisible to Leprechans and can avoid getting pinched! So this week I am sharing a few green St Patty’s Day outfits.

Being part Irish, I like to show my enthusiasm for the day!

My outfit is all from pieces I currently have in my closet. I have linked up similar pieces for you, however.

St Patty’s Day does make me think of my Dad, he and I were  the only ones with green eyes in the family. I also used to laugh, as he would turn  bright red when drinking a beer! I used to joke and say, “you must be a faux Irishman!” He loved the Clancy Brothers music too.

“St Patrick’s Day is a global celebration of Irish culture on or around March 17. It particularly remembers St Patrick, one of Ireland’s patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century.”

I know that corned beef is more traditional than green popcorn, but this looks like a fun snack for the day! Recipe here.

Green blouse– Macy’s

Ruffled green blouse- Macy’s

Plus size Royalty for Me Boyfriend jeans

Levis Boyfriend jeans

Old Navy boyfriend jeans

Denizen boyfriend jeans– Target

Exact Franco Sarto espadrilles

My tie blouse is from Banana Republic on Poshmark years ago and my LOFT boyfriend jeans are older too. I do like the wash and button fly.

My Franco Sarto espadrilles are available, and of course they are gold flecked to represent the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow 🙂

Do you wear green on St Patty’s Day? Do you believe in the “Luck of the Irish?”

Outfit details in post, as are links.

Have a great week,

Stay Safe,

Jess xx

Jess, this is such a great outfit! I love your green sweater and it looks super cute paired with distressed denim. And the shade of green is absolutely gorgeous! I am not at all Irish, but I am the only green-eyed person in my family of blue-eyed folks. Because of that, green became my signature color from around birth! Haha. Thanks for sharing and linking with me!

Happy St Patty’s and Springtime Jess. When I lived near Savannah Ga. I used to partake in so many St Patty events.
They knew how to PARTY and turn the river green for days.

Same to you Neti! Oh, that sounds like fun! In Pittsburgh, PA where I grew up they used to do that with the river as well.

It does, look fun, and there are some shamock cookies that look good, but my mom and I are making soda bread.

Perfect casual St. Patty’s Day look! You thought of all the details right down to the gold flecks on your shoes. I’ll be wearing my SPD graphic tee. I do love a good corned beef!

Such a cute, green sweater, Jess! And yay for being able to sign up for the vaccine soon. My husband and I are hoping our turn will come soon. There’s speculation that our age group will be able to sign up next week. Fingers crossed.
