08 Nov Styling A Cardigan as a Shirt and Jambu Rainey Hiker Boot
Good Morning friends. As you can see, this was a rainy, grey week in the Queen City. Enter the Jambu Rainey Hiker. I have styled these boots today with a charcoal grey denim and a cashmere cardigan.
I did think of the Carol King song for today, “Rainy days and Mondays”…
The Rainey Hiker boot comes in a camo print/black or white faux fur/black combination. It has the usual Jambu all terrain outsole, memory foam insole, and is waterproof. It really was the perfect day to wear these! We had to check the minute cast to find a good time to shoot pictures!
I thought the hiker style was fun and fashionable with the bits of camo at the ankle. They are the usual Jambu comfort, and perfect for walking around all day Holiday shopping, or visiting and exploring with family. Jambu has a great selection of comfortable and stylish boots and booties for Fall.
Styling my cashmere floral cardigan as a shirt today, for a different look. You don’t have to wear them the same way all of the time! The cardi is Magaschoni and I received it as a gift, years ago I did find several similar ones for you below.
Treat the cardigan like a button down shirt.
Try wearing it backwards with the buttons in the back, for a fashion forward style. Of course, hubby may tell you that you have your shirt on backwards, and you can say, “I meant to do that!”
This cardigan works especially well with these Madewell Perfect Vintage jean, as they have a high rise ( 11 inch) and since I have a long torso, the shorter length works well. What I also love about these jeans as since they are such a high rise, you could wear a cropped sweater and it will work with the proportions. They also have a shorter inseam at 28 inches, so it works perfectly with boots without the cuffing!
If you have a bigger chest, size up one size in the sweater, when wearing it as a shirt, this way you will not get any gapes between buttons.
Higher waisted trousers or jeans will work wonderfully with this styled as a shirt or try a pencil skirt for a dressier look.
Had a great time at Puppy Up, a walk for dogs, raising money for doggie cancer. Our team name was “Shih Tzu Power” and we were able to raise $400 in a few days for donations. This event was at one of our favorite wineries, so we packed a picnic, enjoyed music, and had a good time. I love seeing all the different dog breeds and was proud of my little teddy bears as there weren’t many little dogs there! We do walk them 3 miles often a day, and they have gone longer. I think it is a misconception little dogs can’t do as much!
Sunday wrapping gifts, as we are going to my mom’s in Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving and I will be giving them to her to hold onto until Christmas! ( saves me from shipping them) I am happy I bought early as shipping times are so long!
