16 Apr Sunshine On My Shoulders
…makes me happy. Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry Sunshine on the water looks so lovely Sunshine almost always makes me high
However, as you can tell today was on the windy side. Yes, when I was growing up learning guitar, in the 4th grade, I wanted to learn John Denver. I still like his music. I have to be in the mood for certain musicians, at given times, but like him and other folk singers, even though swing and jazz are my favorites. I always think of brightness and light, sun when one wears yellow. It is a “Happy color”, and don’t we all need some happiness? I know that the winter weather can change one’s mood, and yet, when the weather changes, and we can go outside, sit out there, and have a good glass of wine, enjoy nature etc, it is a different story \ I bought this mesh top a year or so ago, but I liked the fluttery design around the neckline, and the shoulders. Another floral skirt I had from last year, and the yellow and fushcia come out. I did wear this with a fuschia cardigan later in the day, it was just a bit hot when we took the pictures. Hot, but as you can tell, I thought I was going to be blown away by the wind. It may look like I was trying a new pose with my arm behind my head, but I was actually trying to hold my hair so it wouldn’t blow everywhere. Have a great day!

Posted at 12:11h, 23 AprilThank so much! This skirt’s colors are subtle, but I just loved the yellow in it. If I wear the right shade of yellow, it works. There is a lovely fushia in here, I hope to wear it with next.
take care!! jess

Posted at 00:04h, 21 AprilLove the outfit. Love John Denver. I was lucky enough to see him in concert 14 times. Meeting his other fans at the concerts was also great fun. At one concert, the lady who sat beside us had named her dog Sunshine after that song. So after that, every time I heard the song, I also thought of a beautiful Golden Retriever *g*.

Posted at 07:45h, 21 AprilOh that is great. Thank you, I am glad you like the clothes I put together. I still like John Denver, and that song is so nice! I bet every time you see a retriever… I am impressed as I have not been to that many concerts! :-))

Posted at 17:21h, 17 AprilI so agree with you, Jess, that yellow feels light, bright and happy. I only wish I could wear it. Alas, it is one color I can’t pull off unless it’s a very pale pastel. You wear it beautifully!

Posted at 17:28h, 17 AprilAre you sure Mary? I think most yellow looks good on blondes!! I do like the cream yellow you are talking about as well. Thank you for the comment 🙂 I would like to pair it with some white boyfriend jeans and a colorful scarf, white jeans, however, I don’t know how white they might stay.

Posted at 11:02h, 16 AprilWell, the weather has been a bit hard to predict. I would wear a cardigan, with the orchid tone with this when it is cold as an option. Thank you Pam about the earrings, I got them at a boutique around my house. Have a great week! xx jess

Posted at 07:52h, 16 AprilToday I am only dreaming of a summery look like yours, Jess. Unbelievable but we have snow! Not a lot but temperatures dropped and I actually had to get my booties out again.
Your yellow top is gorgeous and lovely with your floral skirt. I also amire your necklace.
I just love John Denver’s “Annie’s Song”.

Posted at 11:00h, 16 AprilThank you Anette. I liked this light top too. Yellow is something I don’t have alot but I thought it worked well with this skirt. ,I liked the necklace too when I saw it as it is a neutral tone and would go with everything. Yes, one song I learned on guitar at an early age!
