23 Nov Sweater Dress with Maroon Moto Jacket

Good Morning!

I was in the mood to wear this grey fitted sweater dress today, and style it with warm berry tones.

My Outfit

It hasn’t been too cold here lately, so the moto jacket is all that is needed at this time. I bought a red coat from Mango this past August that I am anxious to wear. It may just come out next month on the blog! So, for now, I am wearing this Maroon leather jacket, ( also a Mango purchase) and I love the neckline and how I can buckle the collar like a turtleneck to keep my neck warm. I wanted to add a warm tone ( maroon) to the cool grey color. You know me and printed or textured stockings! I am a fan! These were from a few years ago. A floral pattern in a light grey, plays off the dark grey stocking. Suede booties in burgundy are Seisto Meucci and gifted via Marmi Shoes .

The  floral chiffon scarf adds additional plum tones to the look and the Rebecca Minkoff Love bag in Fog plays off the grey, in a light, icy grey color.

Happenings

Well last week was a long week! We started to get new floors installed, and the contractors were here for 2 days, looking to finish on day 3 when we realized we were 4 boxes short. The Contractor project manager gave us the wrong measurements, so we had to order the remaining boxes, only to wait a week or two to finish the job.  Other household things went amiss, but the since the floors are almost done, I just LOVE the look of it. Such a change for the better! I will share on IG stories, so be sure to check there to see our new floor/rug.’

I think since we are spending so much time at home, there are many people doing home improvement projects. I am feeling a bit stir crazy missing all of the things we used to do, but at least I have a nicer space to enjoy. With the Holidays right around the bend, I also look forward to decorating, putting up the tree and wrapping. Mom is going to help me wrap this year, and I always play Christmas songs while doing so. Thanksgiving this week will be us eating outside with my sister and niece. First time on the deck for Thanksgiving!

    No one does dresses better than YOU. What a stunning look. That color palette is deliciously fall/winter like icicles and cranberries. The lines of that dress are so feminine and the chiffon and those tights are icing on the cake. Hope your flooring are resolved now and you are enjoying the fruits of your labor.

    Oh no! That’s a bummer that you were short 4 boxes. I can’t wait to see or hear about it getting completed though. I am sure it will be such a relief! I am big fan of sweater dresses. I love that they are so versatile and most of all, so comfortable. It hasn’t been too cold on my end either. I keep seeing all of the beautiful sherpas and coats on sale but sadly, it’s not appropriate where I live! I hope you are well and happy Tuesday!
