mayblogHello everyone,Since it took another 11 hours to come home from our visit, I put this together before we left, imagining I might need a few days to recover. Today I wanted to share with you some of my favorite styles from this past month of May. It is hard to believe it is June. I feel like this year is going by quickly. On to the fashion notes, there are some great trends I love right now: espadrilles, off the shoulder dresses and shirts, all of the new denim styles, ( kick crops and cullotes) I am still searching for.Presently, I am in love with all things white, especially for the warm weather, as impractical as it may be some times. Jumpsuits and jumpers are on trend right now, and I will be sharing some jumper looks ( short jumpers) and dressing up the look. Today I am sharing looks that involve floral, off the shoulder, classic black white and red pairings, and military looks. I do love a romantic feminine style, but this takes on many looks.

 IMG_7353Hello LadiesI wanted to share with you the photos of our recent trip to one of my favorite Vineyards, Raylan Vineyards here in NC. Let's see, there are 95 Vineyards in NC so we need to plan where we want to go each weekend! haha. Anyway, I decided to name this post Orange Shift Dress and My Mom's Genes, however I thought the mere mention of Mom Jeans might turn some away. I am speaking of "Genes" here though. My mom has the gift of being able to speak to anyone and striking up conversations with ease. I think I inherited "mom's genes" as we sat on the comfortable wicker outdoor couch with our picnic and '14 Chardonnay I had the task of tasting. I must have this face that makes people feel at ease to open up. We still laugh that after stopping at a rest stop, mom came out talking to another woman we hadn't seen before. We asked her who the woman was, and she said, " Oh, we just started talking in the ladies' room"... See, "mom's genes." We certainly laugh about it, but I think it was passed on to me, and we were able to enjoy speaking to different people at the vineyard about NC wines, puppies, and the like.

What day is today?I feel like singing The Answer my Friend, is Blowin in the Wind, The Answer is Blowin in the Wind.. as you can see it was pretty darn windy out today, but we made do. It is still pretty warm in Charlotte, as the temps don't really get a bit chillier here end of Oct beginning of November, but that isn't going to stop me from wearing fall or fall like clothes! Transitional. I was inspired by Mary Murnane's winter white look HERE and thought, yes! I could do this now, as I am not wearing a heavy sweater and I love a winter white look. I think the key can be in the details or adding fall textures to the color. I have added my Enzo Angiolini tweed pointed brown flats here that were a great Ebay find, my Louis Vuitton bag, and  a pair of vintage brown earrings I found on Etsy last year.
