Turning Heads #linkup-Zara floral skirt Worn with Fall Textures

IMG_9248

Hello Lovely ladies

Ah, nothing like the last three days! Makes me want to wake up, pull back the blinds and sing: “Oh what a beautiful morning, Oh what a beautiful day…”

Nevertheless, what is a fashion blogger to do when it rains continuously and she needs photos? Stand in the rain, that is what! SO here I am in my little outfit with a bit of a sprinkle as you can see. Fun times.

I know you are familiar with this Zara skirt as I wore it once before in the spring. I HAD to style this as I am in love with the marsala/burgundy family and saw that I had pieces in my closet that would work well with this skirt. It is great to have those pieces that can work year round.

Just a bit short and sweet today. I do love the fall season, and have a fair amount of velvet in my closet, so you will see various jackets being styled this season. This one was a steal on Poshmark, where I do a fair amount of shopping, as it was $15 from Loft. I like to add pricier pieces with such steals I find there, and so I do so with some of the leather handbags I have. This one is by Treesje and the ruffles and crinkled leather was striking to me. I suppose you know by now, handbags are something in which will invest.

I definitely think the weather has been crazy too. I live in VA and it has rained non stop (except yesterday) and it rains tonight and tomorrow. I am so over it, but I digress, love your fall inspired outfit and way of styling the skirt here. Very elegant.

What a lovely palette of colours, Jess.
I understand the rain issue…I am sure it is going to get worse for me as our light fades and the rain starts in earnest.
You did a beautiful job tying your brolly into your look…nothing else for it really!

Sam, thanks so much! All it is doing is raining here! I have to go and get a more stylish umbrella! I imagine you experience a fair share of rain where you are.I had to laugh as I was trying to figure out what brolly meant! Some things take me awhile! I love my boots, cant have too many! xx

Love that skirt, not just the print but the silhouette. Really beautiful! And paired with your velvet blazer – perfect! Great job bringing your skirt into fall! xox-M
