13 May Target Blouse and Light Denim

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.  I made sure to call my Mom and I sent her some items from Soft Surroundings as a surprise.

Tarshay. Target. The Red Bullseye. Yep that store has had some great lines through the years. This soft blue and olive top, by Prologue,  in its patterned and painted style, caught my eye on a recent trip.

My Outfit

One of my blogger friends said they don’t see me in blues very often. So, here we are! I have added a few pieces to my wardrobe with baby blue and olive here, and the soft sky blue of this Soft Surroundings tunic.

This top just looked dreamy to me, as if I was looking at the clear blue sky while sitting under the trees- seeing olive green, branches and blue hues. Prologue, a newer line at Target, has some striking pieces. I bought this top in an XS and it fits me perfectly.

Lighter wash jeans are popular in the Spring and Summer months, and I love the look with a lighter print top, such as this. These are boyfriend jeans from LOFT, bought years ago, and I sized down to a 2 for these. ( I usually wear a 4). I love this soft pair of light jeans from LOFT that is currently in stores and online. These Wit and Wisdom jeans are fabulous too.

Warm temps often call for less jewelry, so if I wear a pair of statement earrings, I may only wear a bracelet or nothing else. ( as far as jewelry!)

These white earrings are from Baublebar last year, and Ill soon share with you my  Kendra Scott mother of pearl earrings hubby bought me for Vday this year. I added a bit more soft, subdued color with my pale blush espadrilles. Here are a pair from Target that are cute too!

Weekend

Hubby takes awhile to spend his bday money- he’s not into clothes in the slightest- let’s say he’s a “Man of function. ” So instesad, he bought some speakers for the living room. I do have to say when we can both enjoy his gifts, I rather like that! I spent some time Sunday listening to Queen, as we are huge fans but always have been. ( before the it was “popular” to like Freddy Mercury. ) I did dance around and sing, and all was good. Later in the day, I go out to unload a bag of mulch, and after bending over, I pulled a muscle in my hip or waist. Reality sets in sometimes!

I did call and talk to my mom and wish her a Happy Mother’s Day. She shared the selfie of the Soft Surroundings kimono I bought her. I was glad she loved it.

My Health

I don’t like to be a downer, but I am asking for some prayers. I have been so nervous with anxiety lately, as the past 3 months I have been dealing with Pruitus. This is intense ( like you have poison ivy all over your body x 10) itching all over my body, especially my head, hands.

I went to the doc on Friday and there are no skin rashes, no known allergies.. so nothing you can see. He ran a large battery of tests on my liver, kidneys, metabolic panel, thyroid, and also an allergy test. I have to wait a week or so for the results. I didn’t go right away, as I thought it would go away. This is one time I wish I had a rash!

It may be my medications, or unknown. ( I don’t do well with unknowns!) so I have to wait and see. I just pray it is not systemic, I don’t need something else! I still do try and crack jokes or be funny at my docs, as he said, “I have to feel your liver”. I told him I never had anyone “feel my liver before!” ( haha, anyhow, it was small, of normal size)
