Target Sleeveless Midi Dress with Suede Moto Jacket

Hi friends!

It’s apparently about Target Fall fashion this week, and I am showing you another layering piece that I bought there. Friday I posted about Preparing Your Closet for Fall, and wearing a sleeveless midi dress is a great piece for layering under moto jackets, blazers, sweater dusters.

The other great thing about this dress is that alone, I can wear it in the Spring and Summer, so it is wearable for more than one season! That’s what I want out of my closet- more mileage!

The Weekend

How was your weekend? I hope you enjoyed it. We were busy this weekend! I love musicals and plays, so when I saw that a play titled, “Dial Medicine for Murder” was coming, I wanted to see it. If you don’t know this about me, I LOVE True Crime, and am a bit of a Discovery ID Addict! The play was about 2 notorious serial killers, the most known in England in the early and mid 1900s. Dr Henry Brunes and Dr Andrew Johns were two doctors from Guy’s Hospital in London who studies these men and presented the play in a documentary type format. Dr. Adams and Dr. Shipman were the subjects who have killed over 250 patients each in their medical careers. It was fascinating! Just two men on a stage bringing these doctors to life.

On Saturday, we went to Woofstock! You all know I would be drawn to that! Dog rescue groups, vendors, music, and food. We had such a good time! It was at a popular brewery and let’s just say I was in doggy heaven, with so many there! We like to go out before the days of my dry needling and PT and that typicaly takes two days out of the week for me to recover and be home.

Outfit

Now, back to the outfit! I have said how much Fall is my favorite season! For it’s cool, crisp air, warm colors, and fashion that is cozy and stylish. This olive sleeveless turtleneck midi dress is a great piece for your closet, as you can layer it’s look for Fall in many ways.

  1. As I have here, wear a moto jacket over this dress as a layer, combining other Fall colors.
  2. Add a long duster. The beauty here is that the layering dress is sleeveless, which works well with a long duster not adding bulk to the sleeves.
  3. Add a kimono. I do prefer a long kimono over this dress- adding a pattern to the look. Both this and the long duster creates a long, lean look as the eye is drawn to the length of the style.
  4. Add a textured cardigan. For more texture to this look.

This midi dress comes in black brown, burgundy and olive colors at Target. Olive is one of my favorite colors for Fall and can be worn with so many colors. I’ve added my Nordstrom Blank NYC moto jacket in chestnut from last year’s sale The vintage-looking, square-shaped tapestry bag adds both color and texture to this look. I bought this on Zara a few years ago. The pumps, from Target, I scored for $13, but will have to return as they are just a bit too high for me. I do love the color though, and would wear a pair like this, instead.

How would you layer this sleeveless dress?

outfit

sleeveless dress -Target only $23!

shoes-Target– ( too high for me, but love this pair!)

bag- older Zara ( pattened bag from Target)

moto jacket – 2 season’s ago, Nordstrom ( similar jacket)

earrings- H&M- similar earrings

Have a wonderful day!

Jess xx

    Hi Jess:

Great finds at Target! Sounds like you had a couple of days out before your treatments. I love crime shows, books and podcasts and would probably really like that play.
Nice seeing some Fall colors in your photos

Jess, these fall colors are gorgeous on you!! I ordered this dress from Target, too! Can’t beat the price and it is decent quality. I like it layered with your moto jacket–very cute. It would look cutely casual with a denim jacket, too.

Hi Jess. I love these neutral separates for fall. It’s a great idea to own a sleeveless dress that you can wear for more than one season by accessorizing. I also love dogs and crime shows. Thanks for sharing.

      Hello Christina!
thank you so much. I like to break up neutral seperates with a pattern, either a scarf or bag. This tapestry bag I thought, fit the color scheme. Yea for doggies and true crime! another fan!

I love the shoes! Target in one of my favorite places to shop. The bad thing about Fall is that by the time its cool enough for the trends, It’s already Winter.

      Hi Lisa!
They were too high in a stilleto for me, I do better with block heels. They are still on sale at a good price on Target. I know there are some goodies there for Fall! I know what you mean, I jump the gun a bit for Fall here on the blog.
