THT-Fall into Fashion: Burgundy-Themed Transitional Outfit Inspiration

Another transitional look today on the blog incorporating burgundy tones.

Burgundy Themed  Transitional Outfit Inspiration

Fall fashion is my favorite. There is something about the gorgeous shades of pumpkin, mustard, burgundy, olive that remind me of Fall leaves and rich tones.

We don’t get Fall weather here in Charlotte, NC until around the beginning of November, so if you live in a warm climate, you can transition nicely into Fall and fulfill your Fall fashion desires, by incorporating beautiful rich colors such as burgundy.

Perhaps it reminds me of Burgundy and Cab wines, in which I have an affinity, or I just long to wear these shades which flatter my complexion.

I mentioned this brand yesterday and this is not a sponsored post, I just love their prices and products. This silk skirt comes in a multitude of colors(10 to be exact) and my eye went straightaway to the burgundy. I’ve been revamping my closet a bit, and ask myself how many ways I can style something? Is this a classic piece that will stand the test of time?

The camel colored Vivaia boots are new and as a neutral, will go with everything. I love that they are eco-friendly and sustainable as well as a knit material made from plastic bottles. Comfort is key, as is style, so you get the best of both worlds. They have quite a few new colors too!

You have read posts about this company and their shoes HERE and HERE.

I just shared this boot as a REEL on INSTA.

This is just one f the outfits I will be taking to Italy, the cardigan if it gets chilly at night. I can cetainly mix and match other neutral pieces with the skirt but will be wearing sneakers with it instead. Have to have the right shoes for those cobblestone streets. If not, I will be singing,

“mi fanno male i piedi” or “my feet hurt!”

So, looking as we head unto Fall, think about the classic pieces you want to add to your closet that can be worn again. I know I am going to wear this skirt often!

Have you transitioned into Fall with color? Are you a burgundy fan as well? Let me know in the comments!

I have a similar skirt in a kind of oyster or taupe color. But how I love this burgundy. And I am a white wine drinker!! But what a rich color for fall. I am seeing a lot of wine and burgundy. Might have to pull the trigger on this skirt and add it to my closet. So pretty the way you paired it with the cardigan. Thinking I could do the same thing with a slip dress I have. You always inspire me.

Very cool and earth-friendly booties. They look very chic and sound comfy. I have just purchased 3 pairs of shoes that I hope will be more comfortable than some of my older pairs. I am having more and more trouble with my tootsies these days.

      HI Leslie,
I really appreciate your comment. I have 3 of these skirts and then a emerald green silk slip dress, so I love these as you can see. You are sweet, I glad I can help!
I usually add an insert into many of my shoes, if they are not already cushioned. I get it!

Burgundy is indeed one of my favorite colors! I love that it’s bold but also warm and a little more subtle than red. Plus, burgundy always remind me of my favorite time of year so perhaps I am biased! But yes, this is such a great way to incorporate fall without overdoing it. Though we live in CA, in our neck of the woods, it can be wish washy with the weather. Some years it doesn’t get colder until about November and some years like last year, it was already down in 50s before October! Crazy, right?

Burgundy looks so great on you—you have the coloring to pull it off! I don’t, but your bag seems like the perfect solution, with just a pop of color (and away from my face lol).

I love the burgundy color on you! It’s such a great color to wear, especially in fall. Vivaia shoes are incredible and so comfortable. I’m wearing a pair today! The boots look great paired with burgundy! Hope you are having a great week!

A beautiful skirt! You always look wonderful in these deep wine shades. Autumn/fall hasn’t started in the UK because somewhat surprisingly we”ve been having an unexpected heatwave, so the summer clothes are still out x

Another fab look Jess, the skirt is similar to one I’ve just bought in olive, khaki green. The bag is cute too. Jacqui x

Gorgeous outfit, Jess! Autumn is definitely your season. The rich, warm colors look beautiful and harmonious on you. Many of the fall colors are not the best for my complexion, but I love bringing out my cool jewel tones-they work well for fall, too. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!

Very pretty colours. So warm and they look so good on you. I’m still wearing summer clothes and will do so as long as possible. I also can’t find anything I love at the moment.

I ordered a pair of burgundy shorts yesterday and will use them to transition to fall! As I reorganized my closet a little, I am trying to transition into fall with colors first and maybe a few light weight pants!

I think that burgundy is one of those universally flattering colors and that is especially true on you. Your skirt and cardigan ensemble is so perfect for this time of year.
