THT- 2 Floral Dresses from Closet 52 to Wear to Those Spring Events

Making plans? Have some place to be?

I’m bringing you Spring Floral dresses from a New York Boutique, Closet 52 today on the blog, so have a look 🙂

For reference, I am 5 foot 9, 120 pounds and wear a size 4 in dresses.

Closet 52- Floral Dresses for Spring

My eye always catches on some beautiful floral prints. Florals and I go way back! I remember as a 10-year-old, in my thicker brown plastic eyeglass frames, and a baby blue floral dress, waving a miniature flag in a school patriotic music production.  It probably went further back than that, I think I may have been about 6 or 7, in clogs and a daisy print dress.

So, when I see bolder floral prints, my eye leads me there, and my mind says, “Come to me Baby!”

These are dressier than an afternoon at home, but why not wear what you like when you go out to dinner or have some Spring plans to go to. Wedding and baby showers, brunch, Church, any Spring activity. If you are back to working in an office, these certainly are appropriate.

The first dress has a feature that I love- an elastic chiffon sleeve that can be worn both on the shoulder and off. For the pictures, I styled it off the shoulder. I tried it on, and it did not slip off. If you missed my REEL on IG, have a watch as it talks about dresses with pockets. This one has them!

Now, if you missed my other dress from Closet 52– I shared it yesterday. A pretty coral number! I also mentioned yesterday, that Closet 52 is a New York boutique that has women’s dresses at affordable prices as well as a nice selection.

This floral dress is listed on work dress on the site but can be worn for really any dressier occasion. The style fit well, there was a bit of room in the bodice, but I don’t like things too form fitting. The bottom portion flares out a bit to a tiered style (which is very popular at the moment). The sqaure neckline is very flattering and opens up the neck area.

I styled it with my larger pink resin floral earrings, Chinese Laundry sandals in a neutral, and my Prada bow bag in red, wanting to pick up on this color. If you had a tan or neutral bag, that would work well as sometimes the dress needs to take the limelight. In these cases, I like to keep the shoes neutral.

Closet52 has dresses in plus size and petites as well

Life Happenings

Just got my hair done recently, and it feels good! A color refresh and Olaplex treatment was just what was needed. I have some more beautifying before the family comes in mid-June. I need a pedicure again (they last 3 months), and manicure.

It has been very hot here as of late, the weekend was 94! There always is the pool…  Friday we signed up for a wine dinner at The Cottage, Saturday we went to a local Jazz concert in the park, and packed a picnic.  and Sunday was a day for paddleboarding and kayaking. I think we are least wanting to get out there once a week. It is so nice to be able to plan things again!

I’m buying bits and pieces here for Spring and Summer but really just like to add either cotton or linen pieces here and there as it gets quite hot and humid here.  You will see them on the blog in the near future.

Dress #2-

Blue Floral Dress

Again, it was the red pretty print against the sky-blue backdrop that made this dress stand out. This is a pullover style and very easy to wear, with an elastic waist and fabric tie. The sleeves are sheer and add some drama to the look as well.

I styled it with my red Teddy Blake bag, as the most prominent and pretty color in the dress.

The dress is light and comfortable, and since I am tall, hits at the leg, the same area as on the model on the website.

What else is nice about these dresses is that they are machine washable!

Are you a fan of wearing bold florals? Have you seen the Spring collection from Closet 52? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear from you!

You don’t see many light blue florals with red like that, but I LOVE it.
I never thought I was a floral girl until I started blogging. Now I have a ton of floral pieces.

Both prints are gorgeous! I have been trying on floral dresses when I see them but the fit of some is not very flattering. The cut of these is really pretty!

It’s been hot and humid here too – I think our pleasant weather is now over and we are in for stifling heat!
