21 Jun THT-Flowy Embroidered White Dress for Summer

Time to wear white this summer in my flowy, embroidered Zara white dress.

I have a few white dresses for summer. So, when I saw this Zara dress on Poshmark ( my favorite thrifting site),  I was able to snag it for $35 🙂 I do like floaty, flowy dresses in the Summer, especially since we have had a very hot summer thus far. It seems like every other day there is a heat advisory, as we reach 100 degrees! One of those days when you walk outside and you feel like you can literally cut through the air.

The embroidery makes this  dress special as does the puffier balloon sleeves. Because it is cotton, it is cooler and my second choice of fabric for the Summer months.

Styling wise , I kept it neutral, with my Sarah Flint sandals and ever present rattan bag. I love simple gold jewelry in the summer too. You could easily style this dress a bit more casually with summer flats and there are so many pretty ones to choose from if  you wanted to add some pop of color.  I did add color to one of my white dresses in yesterday’s POST.

You could also style this dress open and worn with column dressing. Any shirtdress, or dress that buttons all the way down can be turned into a jacket or kimono.

Since I don’t tend to layers this time of year, I styled the dress as is. White dresses to me are quintessential Summer! Since this dress isn’t available,  here is another option for you ( and its on sale!)

Life Lately

My family is here. My sister lives in South Charlotte, and I in North Charlotte. I mentioned my brother and sis in law are close by. I have another brother with 2 kids who came from Hoboken to visit this summer.  We had a great Father’s Day, ( as I said a silent prayer) to my Dad . I do miss him. We enjoyed a bountiful Brunch at a local country club, On the Nines, and it was delicious. No one ate anything after that! I had a refreshing strawberry rhubarb Mimosa, and my hubby gets his favorite Bloody Mary.  Later yesterday evening, we enjoyed a Charlotte Knights baseball game ( they won!) and my niece and nephew got to run the bases after the game. It was alot of fun! We have alot planned this week and are renting 2 pontoon boats tomorrow.
