26 Jul THT- Halter Tops are Hot for Summer 2022
We’re hot. The temperatures are soaring. Halter tops are also hot for Summer 2022.
Season of the Halter
Summer is the season for a halter top. There are many styles out there right now, and I featured one yesterday IN THIS POST.
Both of these styles have a flowy bodice and focus on the neckline. Halter’s do that and show off your shoulders.
I used to think my shoulders were too wide, but once you know how to dress them, there really isn’t a concern.
(Not to mention I do a lot to strengthen and build my shoulders doing weightlifting and paddleboarding)
If you aren’t into wearing crop tops, or cut out blouses, but want something light and a bit more elegant, a halter top might do the trick!
I love a flowy halter top like this with a slimmer bottom silhouette like these white jeans by Denizen (Levi). My ever-used white rattan bag makes a summer statement as does my Zara strappy heels.
A dressy halter makes a lovely date night or night out piece, and I also love the look with trousers.
If you are wearing a more flowy halter, consider balancing it with a more streamlined fit for your bottoms. Conversely, if you are wearing a fitted halter, balance it with a wide leg jean, a skirt, something a bit more away from the body.
What’s great about this halter too, is that you could transition it nicely to Fall when the weather gets colder. I could see it with a red blazer and some booties as an example.
Halter dresses are also a great style to get the same effect. I love this one from Mango with a bold floral print and chiffon material. The colors in this pretty summer halter dress would transition nicely into Fall with a pair of cognac boots and a long cardi or moto jacket.
July has been busy as well as there are quite a few birthdays we celebrate. We are celebrating my niece (turning 12) and my mom on the 30th. My birthday was the 8th and we had a great celebration at a tapas bar. (Italian). Our Anniversary was the 14th, (21 years) and we celebrated this weekend at a place near us called, Epic Chophouse. I don’t eat read meat or pork, so of course I got the fish. Nothing like Chilean Sea bass to wet your whistle! Mmm. Hubby got the bacon wrapped scallops and we enjoyed a bottle of Bordeaux. It has been so hot here lately, as I guess it is in many places. (Even England has a heat wave!).
