THT- Styling Ballet Flats from Vionic Shoes

Today i am sharing a shoe that I haven’t worn in a while- Ballet flats. I am introducing you to the Minna ballet flats I am wearing by Vionic.

Ballet Flats and Vionic Shoes

Ballet flats are a classic shoe. I bet you have a pair in your closet, or did at one point in time.  They are making a resurgance for Fall in 2022. One thing I didn’t care for with ballet flats is that some of them offer none or little support. I know as I get older, comfort , support, and style have to go hand in hand with shoes. My mom had been raving about Vionic shoes for years and she is a tough cookie when it comes to shoes!

These Minna ballet flats are the epitome of comfort and style. With a cushioned footbed, and orthotic comfort, they are like sneakers.

Vionic shoes were started in 1979, by a podiatrist who was also an avid surfer. He decided to make the molded orthotic using surfboard molding techniques.

Here are the details of the shoes from the website:

DETAILS

  • Leather or printed calf hair uppers.
  • Firm yet flexible, removable microfiber-covered EVA orthotic insert.
  • TPR outsole.
  • Biomechanically designed to hug your arches, Vio-Motion Technology helps support natural alignment from the ground up.
  • Received APMA Seal of Acceptance.
  • Our Vio-Motion™️ footbed technology delivers Three-Zone Comfort with Ultimate Arch Support for a difference you can feel.

I have featured another pair of Vionic loafers IN THIS REEL

I went a half size down in the loafers, and also in these ballet slippers. If you need to check your sizing, you can look at their size chart.

This particular pair caught my eye with the textured look and the neutral tan shade. I can see pairing these with a multitude of outfits.

Let’s face it, if a shoe is uncomfortable or doesn’t have support, do we wear them?

How I Styled Them

Since these shoes are neutral, you could certainly pair them with most things. I talked about pattern mixing including your shoes in one of my latest REELS on Instagram. I wanted to blend the shoes with similar warm tones, and did so with a light caramel sweater dress from Target ( a few years old) , my cozy H&M cardigan, and added my Louis Vuitton speedy for some additional pattern/color. The leopard scarf adds additional print and breaks up the solid colors in the outfit, yet is complimentary.

Have you tried Vionic Shoes? Here are some of their ballet flats in their Fall collectionThe Caroll ballet flat comes in 10 colorways, the Calisto ballet flat five.   I love the Lena Ballet flat in leopard, tan and black.

Gorgeous autumnal outfit! I love those ballet flats. I struggle with that particular style because I need good arch support but these sound great. I have a pair of Vionic trainers that are really old now but I still wear them around the house.

These are beautiful! I love the chevron print to them! I’ve heard so many good things about vionic shoes. Good supportive shoes are so important.

They are really pretty shoes, Jess! I love this fall outfit you styled to showcase them. I have never found ballet flats comfortable. I think the shape of my foot is not suited to them. But I do love the style on others and wish I could wear them!

Ballet flats are all the rage (again) but I’ve never worn them after discovering how uncomfortable they are. Great to see Vionic make them with their orthotics. Beautifully styled xx

These sound like fantastic flats! Bonus they have half sizes up to 9.5 – I have such a hard time finding my size. Love how you styled them, and especially the photos surrounded by the beautiful Fall leaves.

I love the subtle print mixing in this outfit. The ballet flats are very pretty. I used to wear flats a lot when I was working, but rarely now. I’m not sure why. I may need to rethink that.

These flats are so pretty, and look perfect with the autumn shades of your outfit! I will have to check out the Vionic brand, so many people love it, and orthotic insoles are a must for me in a flat shoe. I have a very high instep. Hope you enjoyed Halloween with your costumed pooches. Have a good week and thanks for sharing!

I don’t think I have worn ballet flats since I was a girl. I associate certain things with not having a choice about what I could wear so I haven’t been tempted yet. This is a pretty pair and if Vionic comfortable I am sure..

I love all those gorgeous autumnal colours on you, Jess! And the shoes are the icing on the cake…especially with support. Ballet flats are a real wardrobe staple, they go with almost anything. I have two pairs, both are from Calla, so are designed for bunions in mind. I usually wear them more around this time of year before it becomes boot weather!
    Big hugs

Jess, I wholeheartedly agree that shoes need to be comfortable or they’re not worth buying. These ballet flats you choose look great and the whole outfit is fabulous.
