THT- Teddy Dreams- Time for Your Teddy Coat!

Good Morning Ladies! It’s time to bundle up with your teddy coat!

I hope everyone has had a good start to their week. The weekend was busy, but that is how I care to be in these Winter months! Making plans. If you haven’t read my post on how to beat those January blues, have a read HERE. Making plans is one of those things.

Teddy Coats

Today I am talking about those “teddy dreams” or those Teddy coats you may have in your closet. Still cozy and comfy, they are a bit more casual and fun to wear on some of the days you want to dress casually and have to bundle up. This one, by Pull & Bear, from Asos was bought about 4 years ago, and it is a bit oversized, so you can layer til your heart’s content!

I am wearing a thicker taupe brown cowl neck sweater from my closet, and a pair of liquid leather slim pocket pants from Clara Sun Woo. ( USE MY CODE EDS1o for a discount). I went with a streetstyle look today and all I needed was a baseball cap to keep the wind at bay. It was mighty chilly, I am sure some of the bloopers would have entertained you.

Teddy coats are still popular and come in a variety of lengths. I do love the longer ones, and of course the ones by Max Mara, are drool worthy. ( Just not price friendly! ). I have linked similar teddy coats at the bottom for you and several are under $75!

I wore this coat to my Lake Norman Humane Orientation, as I thought maybe I would connect with the dogs better that way. A red-headed Doodle perhaps? LOL.

According to Birdie, a Fashion site, “Teddy Bear coats have been around since the 1920s.”

Functional and fervent, the teddy coat feels like you are wrapping yourself in a nice, fuzzy warm blanket. Now, the problem is, once on, do we want to hibernate until Spring?

What a great coat. I remember Teddy jackets from a few years ago. Always wanted one. Wound up getting a sherpa that I love and need to dust off. But this coat, the length, the color are just stupendous. I bet the pups at the humane organization licked you up and down you looked so adorable. Love the casual shoes, the leather trousers and that darling brooch. LOVE it all.

I love the look of a teddy coat, but I haven’t ever tried one. I love this one with your CSW liquid leather pants. Such a chic look!

    Thanks for the link up!

Gorgeous coat, I love the colour! The brooch is a fabulous addition too. I have a blue coat in this type of material and it’s so lovely to wear!

I also would love to own a Max Mara teddy coat one day, but until then, you chose such a pretty, rich color—it looks great on you!

Nicely styled Teddy coat Jess, the color is beautiful on you! I love your leopard print trainers, too. Whenever I see these cozy coats, and faux fur ones too, I think about how warm they would be worn inside out, with the toasty fur on the inside of the coat-lol! Hope you enjoy your week, and thanks for the link up party!

You look adorable in your teddy coat because you are tall and thin.
Me, not so much. I would look like Pooh Bear!

    Happy Tuesday, my friend!

I never bought a teddy coat but the last two I have seen styled (one of which is yours), I have been tempted. But I sure don’t need one more jacket lol!

A warm coat to weather the storm is so important, even better when it looks as gorgeous as this – wonderful color! Shoes are gorgeous but I have to say I can’t go without socks this time of the year!!

Great accessorising Jess, love the brooch and shoes. Your Teddy may be oversized but you still look svelte and elegant. Unfortunately oversized doesn’t have the same effect on me! xx
