04 Jun THT- Time for Linen!
It’s June. It’s getting hotter, and it is time to bring out one of my favorite fabrics, linen!
Time for Linen
It really Is that time. There is usually the “hate it camp” or the “love it camp”. I am amongst the “love it”, as I live in the South and our summers can get hot! I think linen is great to wear, as I just accept the wrinkles and enjoy the comfort and feel of the fabric. This Zara dress was one I bought on Ebay, tags still attached. I believe I paid $30 for it.
As you know, I have a fair bit of green in my wardrobe and have recently added pink as I’d love to combine the two and just have more choices. This rich darker olive hue had caught my eye and I was looking for linen dresses. When you shop on Ebay or Poshmark, the key is to try and be specific and put in your sizing parameters, so you don’t get overwhelmed. I did search for “green linen dress small” or “Zara linen dress small” and then choose from there if something “tickles your fancy”.
I love the richness of the dress and how this shade is a neutral that will work with any skin tone. I chose to wear the fabric belt, but will probably switch it out to one with a bit more sustenance. The woven clutch is one I like to wear with more utilitarian looks or tropical styles. That’s when I reach for it. Adding my frequently worn Zara brown/tan sandals also completes the look.
Gold jewelry is my favorite to wear and I keep it simple with a favorite pendant, cuff and these new Monica Vinader hoops. I love the style and have a thing for hoops lately.
What’s Happening?
I have some thing going on with my GI system and wasn’t able to post last week. With that in mind, and dealing with Gastroperesis, I see my doc this morning, and will go with a Nutritionist with a speciality dealing with the illness. I need some meal planning help and a bit of direction. There are so many things you can’t eat due to slow motility, but things you can. So, I am hoping to feel better before our trip to Isle of Palms for my mom’s big birthday. We go the 3rd week of June! I really can’t even beleive it is June already.
These gorgeous hoops are discounted using my LINK
I was gifted these as a part of an affiliate program. The wave collection really architecturally catches your eye!
Are you a big fan of linen? Has it won you over yet? Could you recreate this look?
JOIN ME FOR TURNING HEADS TUESDAY. Since last week’s turnout wasn’t great, I am debating whether to continue the link-up. I know it is vacation time, so I’ll think about it.

Posted at 23:40h, 04 JuneI love linen and wear it all the time in the spring and summer. I know some people are put off by the wrinkling but I think that’s part of the charm. You look gorgeous in this color!!
I hope you are soon feeling much better. My husband deals with a chronic gut issue so I know how debilitating they can be. Thanks so much for the link party!

Posted at 15:56h, 04 JuneYou look so chic and elegant in this dress! It is a great color on you, and the gold jewelry is beautiful with it. I like the texture of linen and the coolness of it, but don’t wear it very often because of the wrinkle factor. I hope your doctors are able to help you feel better soon. Also hope you decide to continue the link up, because so many of them are disappearing. Enjoy your week and thanks for sharing.
