01 Oct THT- Trending Now- Cuffed Denim
This is a trend I am loving right now, the cuffed jean. A bit more relaxed than the straight leg, with an upturned cuff and a looser fit, these are a jean that can be worn many ways.
Happy October 1st! Can you believe it? Am I the only one that thinks this year is whizzing by?
The Jeans
I had been scouring different retailers to find a great cuffed jean. I need some stretch as I have IBS and have to have the comfort level that it provides. When I tried on these Evereve jeans, it was love at first feel! Yes, I went into an actual store! Most often, I am shopping from the comfort of my couch but wanted to check out our new Evereve store. When I felt these jeans, they were like buttah! So soft! That was a detail that is a winner in my book. With extra sensitivity, I need something soft that doesn’t feel like it is pressing hard on my stomach, and something with give.
I loved the style and medium wash of these jeans. The cuff is sewn, so you can’t let them down, but I do like that the cuff is perfectly lined up and you don’t have to figure it out or adjust it. I bought my normal jean size, a 27, and they are loose in the waist, but how I like it. If you like a more fitted look, you could size down one. I typically don’t size down in jeans, as I said, I like a looser fit.
These jeans are made with recycled polyester, so the softness comes into play there, as well as cotton and elastane. They do have a button fly, and that is not a deal breaker with me, as I feel like the jeans have some give, and the button fly holds everything in.
This was the first Evereve store I had been in, and the service was wonderful. I paid full price for the jeans, as I am going through my jean wardrobe and only keeping excellent fits. So, once in awhile, I pay full price for something I know will equal great price per wear.
Changing the jeans look is done more by the shoes you wear. Wear a fashion sneaker for a more street style casual look. Dress it up with a pair of booties or tall boots creating a more fashionable, Fall style. Ballet flats and Mary Janes are popular now, and the cuff lends itself to showing off your shoes, so wear those strappy Mary Janes!
The Rest of the Look
The boots are from Inez. I chose the Chesnut; they also come in black leather and am just wowed by the quality. These are made in Spain and so solid and gorgeous. The block heel is just the right height, and they are so comfortable. Next, I paired this look with a stretchy white button down, ( a key garment in the wardrobe) and this fabulous suede-like longer vest from H&M. This particular one is sold out, so I have linked similar ones. The luscious brown leather bag was bought as a souvenir from Italy last year. (Thanks Hubby!)

What’s Happening?
Well, today I am working a Gala Event for the Shelter, called a “Night for Paws.” We will have auctions, raffles, giveaways, as well as merchandise to sell. I am at the Merchandise table, and work to sell t shirts, cups, hats etc. This event is once a year and is to earn money for the shelter. There will be drinks and dinner as well. I will be in my “Night for Paws” t-shirt and black denim. It is going to be a busy day, and fun event.
A week from tomorrow, and we will be in Madrid. I am so excited! I always get a bit anxious about leaving the pups with someone, but they will be in good hands. I have planned events, and am glad we are on an overnight flight. Not like I can sleep on a plane! Maybe if a have a few Cabernets!
Love Bandit! One year old and so playful!
The boots were gifted c/o Inez
Everything else was purchased by me.

Posted at 21:02h, 03 OctoberWhat a grand transition look. I have been admiring everyone’s vests. Really like yours because it is longer. And has such flattering lines. Accentuates your figure. Thank you for sharing these two affordable options. Will put one in my cart to check out on Prime Days next week. The color of your bag is so rich. I bet that leather feels like butter.
I like the jeans very much, too. And like the idea of having the cuff tacked in place. The wider cuff looks great with your boots.
Hope you are feeling well as we move into fall. You sure look terrific.

Posted at 08:11h, 01 OctoberI love how the boots and the vest pair up! Hope you enjoy the gala and that it will be successful. I am not drawn to this new style of jeans, so I will probably pass on it. I do remember have a pair of large cuff capris and also a pair of straight jeans but I think I cut the cuff length: too bad!
