Falalalala lalalala…
Happy Wednesday Ladies!
I hope everyone is doing well and not too stressed from shopping for gifts! I love giving presents, I am like a kid when it comes to buying for others, and just the holiday season in general. As you know I do most of my shopping on-line and scored this favorite brick brown faux pencil skirt from Zara. One of my favorite stores
My hubby wanted to get this shot with all of the flowers, tress and Christmas tree
Mechanical Christmas Bear! New 1928 Earrings from the Black Friday special
I did buy this early on, as sometimes my size can go out of stock quickly and I do like their faux leather skirts, the color really stood out to me. .I have much in my closet this skirt can go with , and that is one thing I consider when adding to my wardrobe. How many other pieces do I have that can go with this? Is this practical? Will I wear it alot?
Here we were at “Barkdale” ( aka Birkdale) without my pups. I wanted to put them in their santa suits after they just got groomed as they look so cute, but it was too cold. We had to get some pictures by the tree and my hubby also had to get the mechanical Christmas Bear picture, as I call my little boy, teddy bear,or bear as he sits like it with his hind legs, and looks like one.
Speaking of mechanical Christmas bears, I used to be petrified of this Talking Tree, when I was around 5 or so, as it was in a department store my parents would take me. It had this big goofy face, and would talk to you once you got close enough. My mom said I used to cry just seeing it! Needless to say, I don’t break down or anything with the mechanical bears, I have outgrown it!
I found this cardi as part of the Mad Men collection, on Ebay, and loved it. It is rather light, so good for in between fall and winter seasons. I am a fan of leopard, as alot of us are, if it is done tastefully.
I do alot of my shopping on Ebay and Poshmark as far as finding some great deals. I like to pair some slightly more expensive pieces like the skirt with an inexpensive item like this cardi.
How do you shop? Do you like to mix and match pricier or designer pieces with other finds from thrift stores or Ebay? How do you now choose items to go in your closet? Do you have a fear of mechanical talking trees? 🙂
Have a wonderful day
Jess xo

December 11, 2014 at 10:42 amYou have to give kudos to my hubby for the tree shot, he takes the pics 🙂 Me too about zara. I shop mostly at Ann Taylor online, Zara, and the Ebay, PM, and other stores online. NO malls for me:_) jess xo

December 11, 2014 at 5:21 amYou look really lovely doll, gorgeous. This big tree is amazing, love that!! I shop from all over the place, online mostly. Vintage shops in town and online. I prefer small businesses as I can get more unique items. I have a lot of vintage clothes, I try to stick with vintage or small business as it helps them more. I rarely go into malls or big shops as everything looks the same or their swamped with people and I become stressed, ha! I hope you are having a great week so far xx
Jess Jannenga
December 11, 2014 at 10:41 amThanks sweetie! So true. I can’t stand malls and I too shop all online. We don’t have vintage shops on line, but i try to get pieces though Etsy, Ebay.. I do not like the herds of people over the holidays as it should not be what the Holiday is about. jess xx

December 10, 2014 at 10:38 pmI love that color, the skirt is lovely! Perfect with the lovely leo cardi! Love the photos of the Xmas tree, so pretty!
I love to mix high and low and old and new, pattern – stripe… the more the merrier!
I love ebay, and while it hard to buy things without trying it on, most sellers give measurements, and better fit information that retail stores… I also just discovered Posh Mark, reminds me of Ebay years ago. Love it!
I am glad you are enjoying the season!

Happiness at Mid Life
December 10, 2014 at 9:49 amI ordered a bunch of items from Zara during the Black Friday sale and will be returning everything but a pair of silver loafers. I like this skirt on you – the color is great and I can see it going so well with many of the items you have in you closet. There’s a talking bunny at the mall during Easter that I took my son to when he was about 2, it freaked him out so bad when the bunny started saying his name. I have not taken him to see this bunny since then.
