Transitional Fall Outfit – Trending – Animal Print

Morning ladies!

Isn’t it cool when a trend comes along, and instead of having to buy anything, you already have it in your closet!? Well, that is what happened to me, as I just went through my closet over the weekend and realized I had about 4 snakeskin prints in various forms- shoes, skirts, dresses.

Animal Prints

Animal prints are a BIG fall trend, and we will be taking about leopard print and how it is classic as well as trending. But today, i styled a bit of leopard and more snake skin with my chiffon midi skirt I had purchased about 3 or 4 years ago at Ann Taylor. I loved the feminine look of this and really wanted to add a moto jacket to this look to juxtipose the feminine with a bit of tough girl, but it was just too hot!

So.. the next best thing.  If I can wear Fall garments just yet, I can wear Fall colors and stylish prints.

Transitional Fall Look

This will be a transitional look for Fall, as I am incorporating a Fall trend with Fall colors. Later as it gets colder, I might add a moto jacket and some boots.  I have several moto jackets from my collection that I can see with this already. You’ll have to stay tuned to see how I style this skirt for when Fall really settles into Charlotte!

My lonely LV Speedy 30 made it’s pre-Fall debut here, as it is one of my favorite bags, a classic, and I have always loved the satchel style.

I wore the scarf two ways- one for additional color around my face, as it looked a bit bare. Second, the vintage earrings and ruffled collar took center stage, while the leopard scarf added pattern play to my LV bag. It’s always fun to experiment with patterns and scarves and see how you like to style it best.

I loved the skirt because it suits my romantic style, and the print was subtle not as “in your face” as some snake skin prints with bold colors can be. Because it is a neutral, just like leopard, you could pair and color with this skirt as well. Another thing you will see me style with this skirt in the Fall.

I went with a bit of a more neutral, Ralph Lauren, type of look today. So, lots of styling options if you are wondering just how to style an animal print for Fall.

I’m including some links to pieces with snake skin below. I will be writing a post on leopard down the line, as I have various leopard pieces in my closet to share. Don’t be intimidated by animal prints. If you love it , keep in mind, the neutral fabric and that there are plenty of fun ways to style this print.

I love the subtle print of the skirt, and the leopard print scarf contrasts really well against the pretty blouse. Lovely outfit!

Hi Jess! What a great outfit for transitioning into fall! I really love how you’ve mixed the prints and incorporated leopard and snakeskin. This outfit came together beautifully and I’ll look forward to seeing how you style it with a jacket!

OMG….I see that I have totally misspelled your name. So, so sorry Jess. It is something I absolutely want to avoid at all times and somehow I have mixed up things today. Double love, Lieske

No trouble! Jessica is spelled correctly, i just usually go by Jess. So true! We love to fast track the seasons here, interesting that it is the same Switzerland. I have a fair amount of leopard print pieces, always a classic look- I know they are trending at the moment, and I do love the look. Thanks for stopping by Lieske ! xx

Hi Jessica. Funny how we do not want to wear our “normal” summer clothes even when the temperatures are screaming “summer” out loud at the moment here in Switzerland. Like you I have used an animal print to create a transitional look. I just love the way you have done it here: so classy. Love, Lieske

I LOVE that Gucci bag too, wouldn’t it be nice to own it? Wow!
Okay, that skirt is gorgeous! I love the snakeskin print and it’s so subtle it looks terrific with the white ruffled top (I used to have the very same one from Loft!) and the leopard scarf! That skirt looks like you could wear it with tall boots and a moto jacket when it gets cold – such a great piece!
Your hair looks extra pretty today my friend – the color looks so vibrant!
