30 Sep Trend Alert- The Cropped or Shorter Trench Jacket

I succumbed to the trend. The shorter cropped trench is everywhere right now, and if you like jackets or 3rd pieces like I do, you may want to try this more casual look.

The Short Cropped Trench

What’s a classic that has been revamped for the season? It is the trench coat. Designers have gotten out their scissors and created a new version- the cropped trench. With many designs to choose from, what are you looking for?

There are a plethora of cropped trenches out there, and I have whittled the list down for you a bit. Price points considered, these are all under $100 and certainly much less at that.

If you are one that doesn’t want to spend a lot on a trend, you have come to the right place.

Looking for details like a belt or larger lapels, many of these have just that. It is going to come down to the detailing on whether you spend a bit more.

I’ve gone a bit trench crazy over the past two years, buying a staple long one to wear with dresses, a mid length  and now, this cropped version. I consider the cropped version a bit more casual and would certainly look smart with denim. Here in this short reel, I have styled it with some cuffed denim and leopard driving shoes.

My second outfit here with the cuffed denim is with the cropped trench. Don’t blink or you may miss it!

The dark olive color with this shorter H&M trench really appealed to me.  It comes in 2 other colors and is the perfect cropped length to wear with high rise jeans, trousers, and dresses. I did size down to an XS, as it runs larger. If you want an oversized look, go with your regular size.  The sleeve length is perfect for a change, usually I find them too short in a smaller size.

This trench comes in a dark denim and medium denim wash. Love the double denim look?

Comes in tan or traditional color. This is the one I have except I have it in olive.

Mango is one of my go-to stores. This is available in limited sizes.

Steve Madden trench in such a pretty color! Also comes in tan.

Under $40 and the double breasted style is nice.
