You all know animal prints are here to stay right? Leopard, snakeskin, and now zebra prints are making another splash leading into Fall.
Here we are ending the summer months. Kind of. This weekend we had some cool weather in the high 70s with some dampness caused by the several days of rain. Nice though, for me not having to water my azaleas and knockout roses! Thanks, Mother Nature! I did love the cooler air and signs of things to come.
So, the weather won’t truly be Fall-like until the beginning of November here, but you know the Fashion World doesn’t wait. What’s a girl to do?
I thought why not try to style something that can lead into Fall and also show a Fall trend that returns each year. Yes, that is animal print! I think of leopard and snakeskin as neutrals and also prints that may be around of awhile. The Zebra is the Elhers-Danlos mascot, as it is rare animal, and I have seen a few zebra prints as well. I am tempted for this sweater from Mango.
I saw this cami on several bloggers and knew I wanted to add it to my closet. I am wearing a size XS here in this cami and it is very comfy. Typically I wear an XS or S in the New Day line. I have added several camis from the New Day line as I just love the look of them for summer and then to transition to Fall with jackets and long dusters. I think they are one of the must-have staples for a lady’s closet. I did try on the leopard pencil dress with the same print at Target, and did love it, but bought one from Mango that was similar I’ll be sharing.
So, here I am wearing my culottes from Wit and Wisdom that I bought for $24 on Poshmark. I sized down in this pair as they are quite stretchy. I typically wear a 4 in jeans and am wearing a 2 here.
Of course with a leopard print cami, I had to bring out my leopard clutch from Express I bought years ago. I do enjoy mixing leopard prints and other animal prints here, such as my snakeskin scarf from Mango. I also love gold with animal prints and am wearing leaf earrings to channel Fall, and my SS gold cuff. How might I change this look? I could add color if I wasn’t looking to wear all neutrals by adding my red bag ( or any colorful bag) and some colorful statement earrings.
I would add either a moto jacket, where I could add color, or keep it neutral with a black moto. You could also add a long duster to this look. If you also like pattern mixing, try wearing a plaid blazer over the leopard cami for an eye-catching look! I love this blazer and am looking for a brown plaid one to add to my Fall wardrobe. I also really love the look of these culottes with booties or long boots, I think its a very chic look.
