Hello Ladies! I am so excited today to tell you about this recent collaboration with Marmi Shoes. I collaborated with them last year, and received this fabulously made Vaneli red pointed flats with bow. See COLLABORATION 1 HERE. I had great service then, and was happy to collaborate again with them. This time, however, it was all about the boots. Booties, to be more specific. When I was perusing Marmi Shoes, I was looking at the various boot styles, and realized some were a higher heel than what I can wear. I then came across one of the greatest inventions in shoe history of course, ‘The Block Heel.
First, let me tell you more about Marmi Shoes. ” Marmi opened its first specialty boutique in 1986 and has rapidly grown into a recognizable leader in fashionable, European influenced footwear and accessories.” They look for superior quality in craftsmanship and fabric, as well as comfort and style. If you are in the Charlotte area, you can find them in the South park Mall, or enjoy their expansive collection at Marmi Shoes on-line. Yes, my little teddy bears had to get in on the act for this photo shoot. Hubby likes to eat out or go out for wine when we have a photo shoot on location.
I saw these luscious, Bordeaux suede booties by Italian Designer, Sesto Meucci, and knew those were it! The Italian design with the sleek lines, slightly rounded toe, and a block heel that I could comfortably walk in, and rich color really stood out to me as I could see pairing these boots with many items in my closet. Burgundy is always in it seems, and I never seem to tire of this color for Fall. When I first tried on the booties, in my usual size 8, they were a bit snug. ( oh no!) however, European sizing can be different from American sizing and can run slightly smaller. Marmi shoes is also known for having a wonderful selection of Narrow Shoes and Wide Width shoes, however, one can find style in a medium width as well. These were an 8M, however, I would be needed a larger size. When I contacted Madison, she told me they could resolve the problem. And that they did! I was so impressed with their service, it was a real pleasure to collaborate with them! I said I would need an 8.5 and the next morning at 8:30 am, I heard the Fed Ex truck! Now, that’s fabulous, and they were the perfect fit.
Marmi shoes sells wonderful, quality made shoes with excellent craftsmanship. Marmi shoes has been in business since 1986 and “has rapidly grown into a recognizable leader in fashionable, European influenced footwear and accessories.” They sell Sesto Meucci, Vanelli, and Eric Javits shoes. What I love besides the rich color is the craftsmanship, the rubber bottom which makes it comfortable when walking, and the style of course! Sesto Meucci designs are plentiful at Marmi Shoes and they have a luxurious feel that, let’s face it, our feet deserve! Block heels are very big right now, so on trend, and I love it, as it is the only kind of heel I can wear. I also liked that this boot had a slightly rounded toe as opposed to pointed, as it gave my toes some breathing room. There is leather lining and also a back zip for easy on and off. You will be seeing me styling these with some patterned and colored tights as the season goes on.
I knew I wanted to pair these boots with a burgundy lace full skirt I bought from Ann Taylor last year, and combine it with a colorful top in olive green, grey, teal and burgundy. Rich shades such as rust, emerald, mustard, chocolate brown are also some shades that would pair lovely with this burgundy boot. Black is always a classic combination. Vintage pink or Rose would complement this color quite well, and is shown in stores this Fall
