12 Dec Turning Heads Linkup- Holiday “Ugly” Sweater Pics

Happy Holidays friends!

As you can see, it was such a beautiful day outside, when we took these photos! The forecast the night before was 4-6 inches of snow, and knowing Charlotte, that may mean a dusting. When i woke up, it was as I figured, but kind of wet, dark, damp and cold. So, we quickly braved the cold and my Truffle’s tail was wagging after i put her sweater on, only to learn she was to go outside and be cold!

I thought besides sharing my dressier Holidays looks, that i would give you a view of what we will all wear Christmas Eve. We are going to my in-laws in Harleysville, near Philly. My mother in law has never seen the puppies in their Santa Suits or “Ugly sweaters”, so I thought this year was the time. This is the first year the pups have been there for Christmas. So, I bought this sweater last year from H&M, because, you know why! it has a puppy on it!! Gibson and Truffles sweaters I bought at Target, and Hubby had to get the Star Wars one from Amazon. I’ll have to get a photo of him while we are away, in his sweater, he was behind the camera!

You have seen me in faux fur stoles, velvet, brooches, and Holiday dresses. There will be more to come of those outfits, but i decided to change it up today:-) And if you need your color fix see my Karina post from yesterday! 🙂 I do think some ‘ugly” sweaters are more cute, than ugly.. anyhow….

So… in the Spirit of the Season, and becauae i am wearing a “GANGSTA WRAPPER’ sweater, I thought i would share the lyrics I wrote last night…. ( yes, i have a goofy sense of humour)

I’ve got my pug and my sequins too

I even have my puppies

in their “Ugly’ sweaters for you. WORD…. ( no one says that anymore right?)

It really doesn’t matter what the puppies wear they still look cute! Now, the “ugly sweaters” for dogs at Target this year, DO live up to the name!

Anyhow…just wanted to share this fun post today as we look forward to going to visit family for Christmas. On Christmas Eve,we attend Service, watching my sister in law and her Bell Choir. I enjoy it.  My nephews will come over to my inlaws and we will have soups, smoked salmon and the adults will have raw oysters. ( not me!) Christmas Day was something i had to get used to when i first went to my Hubby’s for Christmas. Their tradition is that we have breakfast after sleeping in, and listen to Christmas music or relax, have a delicious Christmas dinner and then, open presents at night! Yes, there are no little ones, but still! they used to laugh at me, as i have never done that! We always tore into our gifts at my moms, and enjoyed breakfast . But dinner? I am used to it now, although i am the expediter that passes everyone’s piles out. as we open gifts. I am looking forward to my everyone seeing Gibby and Truffles in their Ugly Sweaters and their Santa Suits. They are also so funny when they stick their heads in their stockings, where i have toys and treats for them!

i collect little woodland animals, so we have a squirrel, fox, bear, birds, owls, deer etc. among our ornaments we give each year. My hubby also has ornaments from when he was growing up.
