Hello Ladies!

Happy #turningheadstuesday!

Last week in  Asheville but the month’s stay was amazing as we  needed break from the day-to-day. It was a working vacation, but we did have a lot of fun!. I will be sharing more photos on my IG feed.  My parents, my sister and niece came to visit and we all walked around Biltmore Village, looked at shops, went into bakeries where the eclairs look like mountains, and the cookies were the size of my niece’s face!  I had to get a cookie, and I could then say, I only ate “one cookie ” today! We then enjoyed a great dinner at a place called the Corner kitchen, with great wine, company and delicious food.

I wanted to share with you a look that  creates a great color combination. The jeans from Fabrizio Gianni are the denim knit, super soft, olive denim  which you have seen on me in INK HERE  Being in the mountains, I have seen a fair amount of countryside as well, both fields and barns, gorgeous landscapes. So, with this Zara blouse, with its print of growing grass and blooming flowers, I felt I needed to show these olive jeans and blouse with a garden  background. Seemed fitting! The added blush jacket with the olive appealed to me, as I consider olive a neutral, and the pairing looked feminine. Think of colors you may not always pair together, and give it a try!

So, have I mentioned how much I love these jeans? Great to transition as well as we enter into fall,   This is more of a spring/summer look but with some changes, these great olive slim denim knit jeans will take you into fall.  I think at this point, every year, I actually get pretty anxious for the fall season and I start looking at boots, fall skirts, and jeans.

This look says spring and summer to me, as the top looks like spring with the grass and blooming flowers. Here are some tips on how to transition the olive slim denim knit jeans into Fall:

  • Olive denim knit jeans with a rich color sweater paring. Burgundy , Marsala are still strong colors this year.
  • Wear a tunic  add some bold accessories, perhaps a unique necklace ( when in Asheville there are many artisans) and I thought a metal/copper necklace would work perfect and give it a contemporary look. If you wear a tunic with these slim knit jeans, add a heel or wedge bootie as to not make one look shorter by cutting of your proportions.
  • Wear the olive denim knit jeans with a textured fitted jacket. Plums are also coming in big this season! An amazing fitted leather jacket in colors that are popping up are: wine, pine green, browns and of course your staple black.
  • Boot season ! For fall and winter, wear a trendy OTK boot or knee-high boot in a rich brown, grey, any color ( as olive is a neutral)  and perhaps a tweed jacket . These jeans are slim and one can tuck them into boots.

Blush and olive. Who knew they could look so elegant together? I’m wary of olive because I live in the boonies and, well, it can go “redneck” if you’re not careful! Well played, Jess 😉

Dear Jessica, you look wonderful in this outfit, your jeans are very cool and I also think jeans are the best transiction item for Fall. I am not ready for Fall yet, here it is still warm and sunny, I just got back from my holidays on the mountains and the air was a bit fresh especially in the evening. As Fall starts kicking in, you will also see me wearing jeans and pants in general a lot. Thank you for your support on Instagram, you are lovely. Now I need a pair of olive pants ! Kisses

I would so love a pair of jeans that color! Nice alternative to blue denim. And they certainly look great on you, especially the way you styled them with those other pieces. Girl, you sure know how to accessorize 🙂

Oh, I don’t want to think about Autumn/Fall yet! I’m seeing more and more Autumn posts and I’m thinking hold on, August hasn’t gone yet. LOL! This is, as you say, equally lovely for Spring. The pattern of the blouse is delightful and I love how it shows past the sleeves.
Eclairs that look like the size of mountains you say? Oh, those are definitely my kind of eclairs! Glad you enjoyed your working vacation.

Jess, this is the perfect (in Banana Republic’s opinion) color combination for summer-to-fall transition. Have you been to one of their stores lately? Chalk full of your exact olive and pink combo, just minus the floral blouse, but then it wouldn’t be Jess without some floral, right? I’m seriously loving these jeans and I’m quite certain I must go try some on. Looking absolutely fabulous, my dear.

    Hi Jess,
I get super-excited about the Fall clothes…I do love to layer!
You look beautiful in this outfit, and I do love your blouse…I have a similar one which I am going to dig out and re-work thanks to your inspiration.
Great tips for getting more out of olive jeans. I am “needing” a pair of OTK boots. Green suede…does such a thing exist? I will scour the internet and find out.
I find it hard to get boots to fit my slim legs, more often than not they look like wellies, so long boot shopping is no mean feat!
Oh, I forgot to mention your bag….so cute! I do love a tassel and fringing.
