Turning Heads Linkup – Maroon Moto Jacket with Cable Knit Sweater

I have a thing for moto jackets. A Bit of a collection. ( obsession).

This plum colored cozy cable-knit sweater was the inspiration for the look I put together today. I added my Mango marron leather moto, my Veneli suede boots ( c/o) and the tweed floral bag that would tie it nicely together.

Thrilled to be featured

In case you didn’t read about it on the blog, I was so thrilled to be asked to be featured on the widely known blog website, You Look Fab. My feature was recently published and the ladies did a wonderful job! It is so nice to be recognized for what we do! Hope you take a moment to have a read!

If you are wanting some red looks for Valentine’s Day, or to celebrate February’s Heart Healthy Month check out the Stylish Mondays post, ( yester) where I and 8 other bloggers styled red.

My Outfit

One of those bitter cold days out again. You would think being originally from Pittsburgh, I would be used to the cold! But Charlotte has been our home now for 17 years, so I am a Southerner now. 🙂 I have been thrilled that I have been able to wear jeans and find pairs that I find flattering and comfortable. I hope to do a post on my favorite jeans soon.

The moto jacket and denim is just one of those easy and classic uniforms that makes one look more put together and rather easily. The jeans are several years old from Wit and Wisdom but super soft and easy to wear. I found these two pairs to be popular on the Nordstroms site- the skinny jean and the Itty Bitty Bootcut.

I loved this brown/burgundy, otherwise known as Maroon moto jacket with it’s higher collar detail, that buckles, helping to keep the neck warm. I bought it last year on Mango, and wanted to style it with plums in today’s post. Plums, reds, and pinks are great for Valentine’s Day coming up too. Here is a similar moto in maroon, from BlankNYC at Nordstroms.

Accessories

By now, reading my blog, you all know I love my accessories! Many of my pieces have been received through brands I have collaborated with, and others I have bought on Etsy and Poshmark, along with the occasional on-line store.  I collect brooches, and thought this plum/pink brooch would add some nice sparkle and go with the color palette nicely. My blush colored earrings add to the soft colors in this outfit.

This boxy small tweed floral bag caught my eye on Zara a few years ago, and the plums, pinks, greys and other tones would be the perfect finish to this look.

LET’S HAVE SOME FUN AND PAR-TY! i DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I CAN GET CABIN FEVER IN THIS WEATHER, SO ITS TIME TO CURL UP, GO TO THOSE BLOGS AND ENJOY! LEAVE SEVERAL COMMENTS TO LET SOMEONE KNOW HOW YOU ENJOY THEIR BLOG.

That moto jacket is so unique, because of the color. I usually I usually see black or tan ones, it’s nice to see one in a different color.

A moto jacket is one thing that I need to add to my wardrobe. I love how you added a brooch to your sweater. I’ve got several cowl neck sweaters and the next time I wear one, I’m going to do that. Thanks for the idea!

Your brooch is so eye catching on your sweater! It’s a great idea to wear one instead of a necklace when the neckline doesn’t work well for a necklace. It is really pretty!

I love the soft color of your sweater mixed with the burgundy and blush! So lovely. I have a similar color moto jacket and really like how versatile it is. I enjoyed seeing yours styled with boot cut jeans – so stylish! Aren’t you glad we are experiencing a bit of relief from the frigid temp? I am hopeful those days are completely behind us!

That sweater and moto jacket together are perfection. I love the cut at the bottom of the sweater…I thought you’d done a front tuck until you showed it close up. Wit and Wisdom jeans are great. I have a couple of pairs and a pair that should be delivered any day now. Congrats on the feature. So sweet and well deserved! XO
