Turning Heads Linkup- Puff Sleeved Gingham Top And Diana Ferguson Earrings

Morning friends!
I hope everyone is off to a good week!

I’m dressed casually this week as I style denim shorts in yesterday’s post and today’s post in Loft white denim shorts.

I am also featuring on the blog, Diana Ferguson’s earrings in the next several weeks. I love the color and whimsy of these mustard earrings and I have collaborated with her before here – Petals to the Metal

Vineyards and Gardening

Hello friends!
I hope you are doing well.

It has been quite a year and all we can do is do our best under the situation.

Today I styled my Mango mustard gingham blouse with a pair of white denim shorts from Loft.

I love a great neutral look as well, and added my crock textured tan strappy sandals. As strappy sandals are all the rage right now!

I’ve also styled these “Maize” gold mustard earrings from Diana Ferguson that were gifted. A great pick me up!

Since numbers here in the South are still rising, and my mom is living with us for awhile, we make some trips out but are quite cautious and bring our masks with us.

We had a lovely time visiting Raylan Vineyards, one of local haunts. We packed everything up and sat farther out in the field under a canopy, in order to social distance, yet still hear the music. My husband and I feel that vineyards are a pretty safe bet, as there is a lot of land to spread out and enjoy the outdoors as well as the wine. NC has over 100 vineyards, so we can make our rounds!

Country rock played as the band, Jukebox Rock, music carried throughout the vineyard. I was surprised to see people dancing and not paying attention to any social distancing.

We enjoyed each other’s company in our canopy and brought a picnic lunch to be enjoyed with a white Viognier, a crisp, fruitful white wine.

Sunday we visited a local nursery and enjoyed walking around, looking for  red colored ceramic pots to decorate our front entraceway/ We also discovered some New Guinea Imptients in pale pink and magenta. I spent Monday weeding a bit, and decorating the garden, front door.

Check out Freddie the Frog- You know I had to get it for the garden as he plays jazz guitar!

The Earrings

You all know I love the sunny mustard color for both Summer and Fall, and have this shade in my closet.

These Diana Ferguson earrings were gifted, and worked perfectly with the puffed sleeve mustard gingham blouse.

  • 2-3/4″ long, including ear wire.
  • 1-3/8″ wide.
  • Sterling kidney wires close completely for added security.
  • Gift wrapping available.

Diana has numerous wonderful earrings with colorful motifs made of leather, beads, polymer, metal,  and other materials. Do check out her website!

What a cute shorts outfit, Jess. I love the yellow gingham top, and yes, those strappy sandals are all the rage, aren’t they? Freddie the Frog is adorable as well. SO many people have just decided that COVID19 is over and it is surprising to see how many aren’t taking any precautions. Sounds like you are doing a good job, however! Take care,

    xx Darlene

Those shorts really show off your fantastic legs! How lovely to have some relaxing time at a winery. Something to look forward to in the not too distant future here in the UK – we do have a few vineyards, nowhere near as many as your state!

The yellow is so pretty – not overwhelming at all, just perfect. I have been seeing some many outfits lately with white pants, and been on the hunt for a nice pair for myself. Seems it’s harder to come by than I thought. Any suggestions? #1 requirement – not too thin.

Hey, my friend! You make dressing for summer look so chic and easy! The check top is another great find–I like the full sleeves. I’m glad you got some new plants this weekend. The little frog is a charmer, I see why you had to bring him home. At first I thought the earrings were leather, they look so good on you! Have a great rest of the week.

Wow, you have a lot of wineries to visit! I don’t think we have anywhere near that. I love gingham and this is blouse is so pretty on you. Even casually you are so elegant Jess! The metal jewelry is a nice addition and the raffia bag is drool worthy!

What a fun blouse! It looks so good with the white shorts 🙂

I find that not a lot of people follow the social distancing rules here either – it makes it tricky when we do go out. Luckily we are just sticking to the school run mostly, so we don’t interact with too many people. The kids are loving being back at school!

That’s such a pretty top Jess. I love gingham and the colour is right up my street. I’ve just started supermarket shopping and it feels good just doing that. I miss my children terribly xx

Such a cute yellow gingham blouse! I love the way it is tailored, and it’s a great color for you. The whole outfit is fantastic!

Dan, my mom, and I are like you in choosing outside venues where we can social distance. It seems too many people think that once the lockdown was over, the danger was over.
