20 Oct Turning Heads Linkup- Slip Dress as Skirt with Mustard Sweater
I have been looking forward to wearing this leopard slip dress in this manner to awhile now. I wore it over the Spring/Summer as is, and today styled it with a mustard knit sweater for Fall
Happenings
I finally was able to go out this week and enjoy lunch out with my hubby. We visited Bascillico ( think Italian, think Rome) this is how we have to remember things these days! By association! The restaurant is a family run Italian place, with Mama Italiano, whom we met, and hugged ( before Covid). The Eggplant Parmesean is my favorite and he had the Lasagna that is only made Sunday by Mama!
I loved sitting outside enjoying Chiante and Cabernet, along with listening to some of my favorite songs by Louis Prima.
My outfit
It feels good to be out and about a bit, even if it means just going to a nearby park for photos. I have seen similar looks and really value the versatility of a slip dress. I bought this dress over the summer, and wore it HERE, during those hot months. Of course, I loved the leopard print, but thought about all of the ways I could style this leopard silky slip dress.
- wear it in the summer as is, with a pair of sandals.
- Add a tee under it in the warmer months.
- add a blazer over it or a denim jacket with sneakers
- Add a white button down and stockings for a more dressed up look.
- For the colder months, wear a chunky knit over top of the slip dress, acting as a skirt, as in this post!
I received this mustard knit sweater with bow at the neck from my MIL last Christmas, of course I love this color and wore it in a monochromatic fashion HERE. I could pair any color I would like with this slip dress as it is a neutral. So go wild! Pair you favorite shade with it for a winning look. I added Tall OTK boots for a long lean look as well.

Posted at 18:34h, 20 OctoberThat mustard sweater is absolutely gorgeous and pairs so perfectly well with your leopard dress. It’s such a classic outfit for fall and one I can’t get enough of! I am glad we are able to get out and about too. I think we all need the fresh air especially since we are stranded at home with remote learning. By Friday, we are craving some fresh air and freedom!

I wore this style in a post last year–these dresses are so darn versatile, aren’t they? And thanks so much for featuring my photo today!! I really appreciate the shout out, even though I won’t be wearing that look for some time and certainly not a large wedding!! Lol!
Happy Tuesday, Jess. Glad you’re feeling better and better!

Posted at 10:16h, 20 OctoberThat sweater is so gorgeous, I love the tie accent on it. So pretty with the animal print neutral slip dress styled as a skirt, so clever! Ahh, we had a bottle of Chianti on our anniversary trip away this weekend. I miss Italy and European travel. I am glad you got to enjoy a nice Italian dinner and you’re getting out more!
